I have noticed that the quality of the content of some posts has gone down a bit in the past few months - or am I getting older? I will continue to support Erik Buell for his past achievements and for the future, as a mechanical engineer I can in some small manner appreciate all he has done and not been allowed to do in the past. EBR is the best bet for keeping our 1125Rs with trick bits for the future and the possible resurrection somehow in the future. Living in the UK I never has the opportunity to go to the factory. I will regret this always. |

Personally I'll withhold my respect for Mr. Buell until my A$20,000 to $30,000 expenditure on my R even STARTS to recover from freefalling prices -- instigated by Harley's fire sale of Buells; and you should, too. What a load of crap. Not only are you a drama queen you're a liar. Unless you can scan and post receipts for those amounts. |

My dealings with Erik have always been positive. I just called over to EBR a few days ago about some parts I wanted to order. Erik Buell answered the call, I had questions on the race exhaust, lithium battery and if there were any performance differences in the two styles of fuel injectors used in the 1125. He was running all over the shop talking to the employees getting answers for me. He is a really cool guy, very customer orientated and very knowledgeable. He will be getting more business from me in the near future. Thanks Erik! |

What I was told about the injectors is it made no difference in performance which injector was in the bike. The main goal of the 09 and newer injector was to improve low speed smoothness and meet emissions. I swapped out the original ones in my bike a while ago for the newer ones but it ran so crappy that I put the original ones back in. Keep in mind that my question about the injectors was for use with the race ecm, and exhaust. On a stock bike it won't run properly without a remap and did not produce any more power. He said they tested them on one of there 1190 engines and saw no performance gains with the targeted injectors. |

>>>>Awesome the forum has a new "THAT GUY" .... They come and go. For the last 12 years, on Badweb . . and on CompuServe before that . . . they show up once or twice a year . . make outrageous claims . . . shoot their mouths off and quietly slip away as it becomes more and more obvious they haven't a clue what they are talking about. This of it as the passing of the cyber seasons. I can think of some dandies that go back to the early and mid 90's. |

Back to the original theme of this thread... have you seen the new EBR web site?? I went on earlier today and saw the old stuff; just went back on a few minutes ago and it's all brand spanking new, including pics and stats for the 1190RR. Check it out! Go EBR! |

Speaking of good customer service. Erik came down personally and changed my oil....wow what a guy! (cough cough sarcasm) I do appreciate what he does, and really do think SOMEONE will pick up the Buell line. Who know maybe HD will after the CFO says "wow, we really arent saving that much money" One can hope! |

Fully assembled or parts kit and we do the assembly? How much is it for either the full motor or just a kit? |

Anybody notice the tire size listed on all 3 bikes there? 190/55/17, not 180. |

DOT race and slicks are often a "narrow 190". I know I can get away with 190 slicks on my 16.5 wheels, and they are no wider than 180 on my 17s. |

Yes, they appear to be 6" rims, versus the 5.5" on stock 1125. |

1125 dsb spec Rear Wheel: 6 spoke cast aluminum, 5.50 x 17 Rear Tire: 190/55 ZR-17 Pirelli Diablo Corsa III 1125rr and 1190 Rear Wheel: 6 spoke magnesium, 6.00 x 17 Rear Tire: 190/55 ZR-17 Pirelli Diablo Corsa III I coulda swore they all said 5.5" last night when I posted that. Wish I woulda taken a screenshot of each at the time. All 3 shod with Corsa 3's, not slicks, although I would imagine they would get shredded in a hurry with 170+ hp on tap at the wheel.

"Afhans you sound like a whiner..." Mountainstorm, I would have posted a reply sooner, but I just got back to the board. I'm just a guy on a budget. And I imagine others are too. I would like to support EBR, but I cannot afford to do so. I let EBR know this. And suggested them a solution. I cannot imagine it would take much time for EBR to dish out a slip-on. I mean the 1125r is their creation they know what it needs. Why not just sell the pipe as is and sell the pipe as a slip on too? If they do I'll buy one. You can still buy the full system. But hey maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I'm the only guy who cannot justify spending $1.8K on a $6K bike on a single component. If this makes me a whiner so be it. |

I e-mailed EBR over a week ago...... I still have had NO REPLY. Asking about a slip on is perfectly reasonable I doubt anyone would have an issue with that. Emphasising the NO REPLY and "over a week ago" could be interpreted as whining.. They're busy dealing with their current customers and their current orders.. Patience is a virtue and all that.. |

D_adams, I was referring to the 5.5" wheel that comes on a stock 1125R with 180 tires mounted. Could they maybe be running the DSB bike on stock width rims due to class restrictions? I am too lazy to look it up, but that would be my guess. (Message edited by ponti1 on February 27, 2010) |

I went ahead and picked up a race ECM for my XB12. I'm glad he is offering these, since they were discontinued by HD awhile back. I like the website, easy to maneuver, and he's got some great stuff available. |

If this makes me a whiner so be it. It does not in my opinion. Making a comment (not a bash) that it has been over a week with no reply is understandable. |

>>>>They're busy dealing with their current customers and their current orders.. Patience is a virtue and all that.. In addition . . they are concentrating on RACE PRODUCTS. No one ever dreamed all the street riders wanting race parts would place thousands of orders. The place is staffed and focused toward building race bikes (the ones that never see the street) so if responses are a bit slow it's simply due to the huge demand. |
