If anyone is looking for some safety wire pliers at a great price... like a set of milspec Milbar brand... about $60.00 to $70.00+ retail... for $9.99... I can tell you where. Cargo Largo in Independence... 35th St and Noland Rd. They have about 3 left, back in the tool area scattered in the loose tool bins. They also have some unmarked cheaper ones for the same price. The better ones have the brand name Milbar on the jaw area. The unmarked ones look to be of decent quality If you do or ever will safety wire for a race bike... $9.99 is a unreal price. I had been looking for a set... but could not spend $70.00 for the one job I had the need for them... I am set-up now. Don't wait... they will not be there long... and they may never have them again. |

When? what time? My front tire looks like a leftover from a carbon X1 but I'll get it changed for this. |

Frank, Ok, Thanks. I get those too. Now I have a new worry, I had just left a really wild accident. I had a state trooper behind me when I hear and feel this loud, VVrrrrreewwwwwwww....POP. As I look down my speedo goes numb. So now I am in the market for a speedometer drive, and cable. P.S. Ever seen a 18 wheeler cork-screw into a culvert at 60 and the driver walk away with 1 very small scratch? I was the first person to pass by and it was on it's side/top wheels still spinning. It was hauling large rock, which was scattered everywhere. This all happening on the one day I didn't bring my camera. Ben |

Frank, I finally got to take a look at Shu's 1976 sportster. WOW. 1640 miles. can't believe it has this few miles. Just needs lots of basic maintenance. Needs new battery and a bunch of just little stuff. Doesn't appear to have any oil leaks. We were unable to fire it due to the battery being dead. Drained the tank and fuel was a little tainted but not what I expected at all. Very very small areas of rust in the tank but nothing that would warrent any alarm. The front pads were siezed to the rotor and prior to my arrival he broke them free and in the process broke the front brake line. Any idea on what one of these will cost????? Didn't have the time to check out the primary chain. I will when we are able to fire it up. thanks for the info. Hopefully this thing comes together for him. Keith p.s. Tripper, you don;t want to replce a good quality tire like that! |

I put out the word to a white X1 I saw on my lunch break today in westport. It was sitting out in front of the westport flea market/bar. I left him a note under the strap of his seat telling him about badweb and the local group. Hopefully he may show up on here. I left him my home number also. |
