Hi guys, I heard about your site from a mate and decided I should join, instead of lurking. I am really a dirt-bike rider and bought the uly for touring. After I dropped it on the first gravel road I attacked, it has become a pavement-only bike. I'm super impressed with its handling on the road, the progressive rate springs soak up almost any bump, and the torgue out of the corner keeps a smile on my face. A bunch of us are off next week on a 8-day trip around Tasmania, will be FUN.... I've done a couple of mods to it, mainly in the looks and noise dept I'll try to attach a photo of it, and might see you around the internet some day

Welcome. Looks good. Different tires will help with your gravel efforts. I pulled the Stradas on my XT in favor of the Syncs. Trails might be next. |

Yool, sweet ride. Welcome. How well does the wave front rotor work? Is it much improved over the stock? |

Welcome! Nice looking mods there! There are a lot of us current and former dirt squirters around here. I lean more to former, due to age and condition(me and the bike), but I still have my '86 XL250R. |

Welcome. Nice looking bike. If possible, post your Tasmania trip in the Tales section. I'd love to see pics from that neck of the woods. |

Thanks for the welcome guys, the site is wonderful, I been burrowing thru the archives, will probly never see it all. ++couple more pics would be nice++ I like to farklearound with it, keeps me sane, I guess.......I'll post em at the end, but the sun is a bit bright today, its the middle of summer here ++How well does the wave front rotor work? Is it much improved over the stock?++ I can't really remember, the original was warped for a while, and had OEM pads. When I replaced it I added lyndal Gold pads. There is a lot of feel in the front brake at any rate. ++post your Tasmania trip in the Tales section.++ I'm going over with Mick, a member from over in the dinosaur section, he put me onto your site. There's 19 of us going, mostly buells, so should be lots of photos.......

Hiya Phil(XBox), and Bill (Molahs)Good to catch up with you again. The tassie trip was great, but I broke an exhaust stud halfway thru the first day. Eventually going again ready for the last day of riding. So I spent most of the trip in the van, drinking beer and seeing sights. Mick and I did the Great Ocean Road on the way back, that was good, 100+ k of 35k corners
