The left pod was pretty badly scraped but I wetsanded mine and buffed it out. You cant even tell except for the scratch in the black textured part.   Ratbuell Posted on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 - 10:56 am:        Sand both pods and paint with a texture black paint to match the 'gills' at the front edge. Presto - red bike, black pods. I think that'd look pretty cool. And...just a guess...it's probably not the bike's last burnout so these would be easily 'touched up' in the future   Jaimec Posted on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 - 10:58 am:        Four to six weeks seems to be the norm. I slid on mine a year ago and gouged the right pod nicely. I started with 320 and worked up to 2000 then 4-0 steel wool and then polish. All by hand, took a few days but looks almost new.
