I would really rather have both, and won't be at all disapointed if that is the way it ends up. The really right thing to do is keep the 9sx for my 10 year old to restore and ride when he grows up. But where I am at now, with limited garage space and a budget, one street bike (and one dirt bike) is probably the more prudent call. I have kids that are now big enough (and interested enough) to ride with me, so the Uly is the right choice. Anyone have personal circumstances that make them want to go the other way? The 9sx has close to 30k miles on it. Normal wear and tear, never down, only mechanical problem was a broken exhaust stud (caused by a lost front exhaust hanger bolt) that I drilled out, retapped, and replaced the stud. That was probably 10k miles ago, no problems. If I run 5w50 oil in it, it'll consume 1qt every 1500 miles or so, but if I run 20w50 it consumes less then half a quart in my 3500 change interval. It's been like this since new. The bike has otherwise been flawless. It has a HID in the low beam, polly grip heaters, and soft luggage, insulation under the airbox, and is wired for a garmin quest. Otherwise stock. So anyone have a Uly with similar mods and mileage in good condition? I'm thinking a trade with some cash, and we both make a gentleman's agreement for "first rights" for buyback at blue book if we ever decide to sell what we traded for. Obviously, the Uly is worth more then the 9sx, so there would be a cash adjustment from me as well. Anyway, just thinking. I don't have the space or money to have two bikes sitting in the garage, though with all these $5500 Uly's showing up, that might not stop me for long.  | ||
