Cherry you might not be off. I've been having some doubts about this monitor so im calibrating it tomorrow. It did look orange in another (ironically very cheap, uncalibrated) monitor. ...and thanks Joe. I just did those stripes yesterday.14 bucks and 20 minutes. Not bad. Nice work! What camera did you use to take those, and is there any editing done? Thanks. |

thanks guys,..its a decent camera that made the pictures not really my skills. Its a Canon EOS 40D. As for editing, some contrast, sharpening, a bit of saturation and a vignette in a couple of them. |

I thought it was a fresh orange paint job. I also thought, dang... that thing looks good. I painted my wheels red on my old t595 & it looked great in person , but my camera showed the red as being like a neon orange. kind of funky. |

Stripes look good Mac. What are you doing for mirrors and turn signals? How do you like the hand guards? I have thought about going that route also. I especially like the "accessories" ON the 595. |

I was also going to ask you how like the hand guards with the clubmans? Great photo skills too. There are some great shots there. |

I really like the stripes on the cr!!! Great idea... Now it s true modern day cafe racer. Do the hand guards only mount at the ends? |

Thanks Mac! I'm still waiting for my CR to be delivered. Dealer set some pictures but he needs a lesson in holding the camera still! I am in envy after seeing your CR and others! Very nice to say the least! |

I think a full face helmet matching the look of the CR fairing would look good, don't you? REX |

Jeff: i dont remember what products i use. I have no real buffing experience. I just bought a bunch of stuff when i got the Firebolt in 2007 and just go blindly about it. IN fact the Firebolt is pretty abused. The fact that there are a lot of trees surrounding my parking spot helped in making it look more reflective then it really is. That and some sharpening in Photoshop. The CR on the other hand has not ever been washed yet. It's only got 300 easy miles on it. edit: John is the guy to talk to about buffing and shining. I have beeen exhanging some emails with him and he really knows his stuff. I will go with the products he recommends in his thread from now on. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/536445.html?1266358222 CrazyHawk: The handguards have an LED strip. So i run the turn signals there. For mirrors nothing for the moment. I think ill go with Rizomas. As for how i like them,..i don't know yet. They are kinda cool, but i also like the look of the completely naked CR. Right now the handguards are tilted down to go more with the line of the bike, so they don't do much wind protection. I'm in LA so dont need much of that right now. Ill have to tilt them up to be more functional and snap some pictures to see the difference in look. Jespo, yes they only mount at the bar-end. They are kinda flexible (not metal), so i'm not sure how much they would really protect in a crash. I'm sure its better then nothing. The connecting mount at the bar-end though is pretty tough, so it should do the job of a bar-end pretty well. And if, say, i hit a mirror lane splitting (which is most of my riding), they should do a good job on that at least. Usanigel, post some pics when you get. Congrats on the new bike. Hey Rex, do you have any particular helmet i mind? I just got this AGV. Pretty cheap and i think it looks decent : http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&tbs=isc h:1&sa=1&q=agv+s4+Matte+Black&aq=f&oq=&aqi=&start= 0&social=false (Message edited by Mac_Inger on February 21, 2010) |

PepBoys man,..cheap. They had, i think, a couple of variations and carbon fiber looking vinyl too. I didn't think much of the CF. Application was pretty easy too. edit: oh yeah and they had red too, since your bike is black. (Message edited by Mac_Inger on February 21, 2010) |

Thanks so much for the info! If you can... let me/us know what model they are. I'm thinking about getting a set for my Uly. I bet they offer pretty good protection... especially in a tip-over. |

Mac Looks great. What mirrors are you going to use? Will the Lights be a direct plug and play for the directionals? I need to get rid of those stock mirrors. Mike Long Island, NY |

Mike the turn signals already work...they are wired to the handguard led strips. Straight connect. Simplest thing. As for mirrors,..its between Elise, Limit, Tomok and Prototype,..of course in black. Its tough to make a call on which pair without actually seeing them... : http://www.rizoma.com/Prodotti/ProdottiUniversal.c fm?ID_categoria=1&IDSez=1 |
