I am looking at changing the tires on my motorcycle myself. I can get a pretty decent deal online for tires but I would then lose that deal if I payed to have them mounted. |

It costs like $10/wheel to get mounted and balanced for me. Seriously, how are you going to balance them. |

Is a pain job , braking the seal, then gouging your rims up with a tire lever. I'd pay someone. |

I manage mine without gauging the rims, but I put tape around the lip. Shops around here charge $50/wheel to take a tire off and mount/balance the new one, so I'll happily do it myself. |

I change my own, bought 3 tire spoons and 4 nylon rim protectors and use Dyna-beads to balance. Actually very easy, just look on you-tube for instructions. |

Check your tire prices on Motorcycle Superstore online, then check for local "approved shops" that they will send the tires to directly, to be mounted on your bike. They list prices per wheel, on and off bike. You may be surprised to find some reasonably priced shops, and you would not necessarily need to buy your tires from them or from M'cycle S'store. Having said that, there are lots of threads on badweb about no-mar changers, and even DIY setups; could you pitch in with other bikers for a no-mar share setup? Do a search, and you'll find a lot. Be sure if you go to a shop that they will treat your rims right. If they have a dynamic balancer, so much the better (also a good way to check your bearings). |

http://www.nomartirechanger.com/ These folks are awesome, and sponsors of my local club. Many of the members have their products and highly recommend them. Buy one, and have people pay you to change tires! I give a friend $15 per wheel. Great results |
