By the way....new to the board. You could call me a long time listener and first time caller. On December 20, I high-sided my completely stock '08 1125R in a corner about 3 seconds after cracking open the throttle. Well, after a trip to the hospital and trucking the bike to the dealer the next day I was pretty bummed. After it sat in the shop for a week, insurance said they refused to total it because the damage was only 40% of the value of the bike. State Farm had it listed as being worth 11,500. ...right...
I love my bike, but it definitely isn't worth that much ESPECIALLY after the devastating news that Erik Buell gave. So when it seemed things couldnt POSSIBLY get worse, I decided to make lemonade out of those lemons.

Here it is two months later and the bike will be done. And here are the mods:

GPRV4 Steering Stabilizer
K&N Air Filter
K&N Oil Filter
Jardine Pro-Tune 3 EFI Controller
Jardine RT5 Titanium Slip-on
Jardine SS Fender Eliminator
6 Bulb blue LED kit
Pit Bull Rear Stand (not a mod but w/e)
Zero-Gravity Black SR Windscreen
Decided to Thermotec wrap the pipe/headers
Complete Catalyst Racing Composites Body work in Glacier White Pearl with blue metal flake from Other Side Customs
Buell Frame Pucks and tank protector
Black rear header heat shield

They also gave me enough to get the Icon Domain Decay Helmet...so yep. Good things can happen if you have insurance and they refuse to total your bike. so THANKS State Farm.

I will post more pics this week when it is done.

Does other side custom have a web sight? That lower is exactly what I'm looking for.

The paint comes from other side customs

www.othersidecustoms.net

The body work is fiberglass from Catalyst Racing Composites

www.catalystracingcomposites.com

They give the option for race or street on the upper (headlight holes or not), and the lower is just a race lower BUT you can specify to have it fitted with kickstand before they ship it. The upper and lower connects flush and they come with 6 quarter-turn dzus fasteners which I love. I also got the fender and airbox cover from them. They all come primed and are a little cheaper moneywise than the OEM bodywork. Excellent quality and the best full fairing kit for the 1125 on the market by far...WAYYYYY cheaper than the adrenalinemoto one

And BTW...I have the stock body work(minus the tail) if anyone is interested. The shrouds aren't in the best condition but are great for anyone who wants to do a track day but would rather mess up a different set of plastics.

Which kind of Oil filter did you install? K&N but which model is it?

How much your insurance is going to jump up according to this accident??

It doesn't go up....CRAZY RIGHT?!?!!? that's what I said too. I have State Farm.

I got 5,400 from the insurance company and my 1,000 dollar deductible.

The Part Number is KN-556. It's the same spec as the Screaming Eagle one and is also used in Aprilia engines, CanAm, and Sea-Doo engines. Basically anything with a Rotax engine.
