To everyone who has been asking about the few exhaust systems out there for Buells. Buy the Micron system if you ever see it. It is well worth its weight in gold. I Just got my 2005 XB12R back from my local shop. Gained 14 HP and 9 fp torque. It rides like a champ and the sound it something you have to just hear in person. Front wheel likes to come off the ground when changing from 1st to 2nd and so on. I spent just over $1250 including labor. This got me the micron system, K&N, direct link, installation and dyno tuning. .....soooo dont think about buying one....just do it. I havn't been happier about the performance of the bike. |

Good luck! I hope your front header doesn't break the flange off like mine did. Also, the clamps will rust making them impossible to remove, and the chin fairing brackets are very picky and will fall off while riding if not on 100% perfect and loctited. I still love mine anyway |

Recommend Screaming Eagle, not OEM exhaust gaskets. Close & tighten exhaust to head joints uniformly. Used '04 XB came to me with Micron installed. I found its exhaust gaskets' "squish-out" were restricting both intake & exhaust ports by 1/4-in+ all-round. |
