I wouldn't worry about quality in China. There are all types of Quality Assurance companies to assure those things don't happen.
People that cheat in China are executed.

Froggy, not my comments because I'm new to the line, its just what I've heard over the years from many enthusiasts in general. However, I've said in the past Buell should have hired an Italian designer like Massimo Tamburini who in fact penned the Ducati 916, MV Agusta F4, Bimota, etc. I say that because the Buell always seems to catch negative comments about their looks. How can you possibly compare a Buell with any of the Italian bikes is beyond me. The brand would have likely survived if they had a designer with any talent, but maybe HD had a hand in directing that department. The faucet company by the way is Opella.
Buell couldn't find a wheel maker here? I don't think Marchesini farms their products out of Italy, nor does Marvic or Oz. Anyone of these wheels are superior looking to the Buell wheels. I guess the most important thing is the fact they can get them cheap. Whos doing the QC of the wheels, you know who they are? |

Ok, since I had some things change I'm thinking about getting a set. One for the 1125R and one for the XB9SX. Do the wheels come with all that's needed or is there a package that I have to order for the stuff and the wheel?
Or better yet. What would be the part number for the black wheel that comes with the 05 XB9SX with the 2010 wheel bearing setup.
Also the part number for the 1125R 2010 diamond blue wheel?

A 2010 Buell wheel is obsolete? I though HD was supposed to support these bikes for teh next 7 years? I knew that was going to be a bunch of BS. |

There are none.
For complete details, including the part about Buell having great domestic content than most "American Made" cars . . . search for the very extensive thread on the subject from about 6 months ago.
If you are buying parts to build motorcycles . . you're pretty much limited to Italy and Japan with some other stuff from a variety of places.

Yep, same as Court's pics above. Some assembly required 
I would try and confirm with a dealer on what comes with the kits so you get the right axles, I don't have dealer parts network access, but I got a very good understanding on the part number codes. |

got the word today. front wheel was available rear obsolete again using new part # from this thread.
oh well maybe I'll just powder coat them myself |

The only 2010 1125R wheels that I could get was the black with red pin strip and I think white.
So, I'm going to go with the black w/red pin strip. Think that will look nice on the 1125R. |

The Black w/red pin strip was showing available. I spent a good hour on the phone with Chicago HD going over all of that. The Villain Black is also available from what they found. Ordering both.
Think my 1125R wheels will both be the pin strip ones. That should look good. |

Many of you guys sure get defensive when it comes to what might be construed as a negative comment towards Buell. I think if Buell would have listened to some of these comments (certainly not mine) he might still be in business today.
i realize you havent been around here that long and obviously dont actually read alot of things on here, but if you had been around you would have noticed that they actually did listen to alot of things AND made changes accordingly. problems people were having got addressed on production bikes. now just because someone bitches about where its made or by who, i kind of doubt that would have changed, but you never know.
i do however have alot of miles and very hard use on many xb wheels. most of which have seen types of use they were never intended for(well atleast before the uly wheels) and have only managed to damage one. that was by end for ending my bike at 70+ mph. cracked the back wheel. put a little dent in the lip on the front wheel. pounded it back close to straight with a dead blow hammer and its been on that same bike for years now... |

Marchsini - The company moved its headquarters to Jerago con Orago, still in the Varese area.

Kinda sorta. I did some more digging and found that part numbers had changed again and what was thought available wasn't. Hence the Black w/red pin strip now. |

i just changed some wheel bearings on a blast. the ones i replaced (stock i believe) were from France. The replacements were from Argentina and another country I cant remember right now.
I think it was Turkey
