According to a Cycle News poll Danny Eslick is favored to win the Daytona 200. What do you guys think? |

That race is so unpredictable. Danny has a shot, no doubt, but I wouldn't count the Yamaha boy's out either! |

Buell2001b, you're completely retarded. Nothing you say ever makes any sense. We get you don't like Eslick being on Suzi, but enough really is enough. Your obsession with this makes you look like tool. |

Yeah, the Suzuki can't touch the Yami. That is why Danny had fast time first day of testing, and was off the Yam by less then half a second on day two. Those Yamis are way to fast. Buell please get some facts before you post. Danny has as good a shot as any top team. |

Danny Eslick has the requisite skill to marshal a stellar performance on any bike in the grid. He's a talented young man who rides with as much heart as skill. I'm going to try to introduce myself to him during the time I'm at Daytona so that we'll know each other when he returns to riding Buells. He's a class act and an exciting rider. |

Man I would like to see him and RMR back on Buells. But I want him to win it this year Buell or no Buell. |

backcountry if he wins on a suzuki why would he ever need to ride back on a buell! |

One reason would be that Richie Morris, his teams owner, has been Buell supporter. |

I have to say herrin will take it. he only came like 6 points behinf eslick and that is before the changes they did to the R6 which were not make til after half season. that kid will take it all, sorry Danny. the R6 is a better bike the the gixxer |

But is Josh a better rider then Danny? Don't forget that Danny got no points during the 200. That makes a big difference. |

I think Josh is a good rider, but he is not as consistently as good a rider as Danny. Remember that Danny only dropped one bike all year. And that was in practice. This was on a bike that didn't change directions as well as the smaller, lighter Jap bikes. And Eboos is right. If Danny had finished the 200 where he was running before the body work problems there would have been no catching him the rest of the season. And lest also not forget that the Suzuki from last year was running in front of the Yamis. If Cardenes had not gotten hurt he would have been in front with the Yams. I think saying Herrin is going to win it all is a bit to early. So far the Yamaha has not proven that it is any faster then the Suzuki. And Herrin has not proven that he is faster then Danny. |

There is enough talent in the pack this year that trying to predict a win based solely on the rider or the brand is a fool's errand. It's going to take the nexus of the right person, right bike and a dash of good old fashioned luck. Daytona is like that. It's ONE of the reasons I'll be there watching. |

Court you are right. Out of any race on the schedule the 200 is unpredictable. I have been around the top level of car racing for many years and I can say that the 200 is one of the wildest races in the world. The only one I can compare the 200 to is the Chili Bowl indoor midget race. I think Danny, Josh, Tommy, and about 10 other riders have as much a chance of winning as anyone. |

It'll be interesting to see how Shawn does in the 200 miles - with pretty much the same group of folks who helped him to 5th place last year. Danny will certainly do well but in 2 hours of WFO racing, anything can happen. Can't deny that Richey Morris has a good team going this season. We all have our favorites. |

Like I said above, "I wouldn't count the Yamaha boys out". Josh was on a mission and Danny made to many mistakes. The yamaha's have better top-end pull which is suited for the high banks of Daytona. Westby was flying on a yamaha too! The first 15 laps were GREAT! |

I wouldn't say that Danny made the mistakes. It was more like his crew did. They were in slow motion all night. |
