Cycle Pirates makes a nice adjustable solution with a decent range of configuration. |

Precision Engineering I wanted a slightly larger & lower peg. PE is direct plug and play. (Message edited by kc10_fe on February 18, 2010) |

Um...why? Just toss on some Ulysses pegs and be done. Readily available, not too expensive, and guaranteed to fit. |

A buddy of mine runs lightning pegs on his Honda Blackbird. He said they need some minor grinding, but not much. So if the XB pegs work on the 1125 (which I think they do) and things go "the other way" (no idea), then black bird pegs might be a good guess to start with. Come to think of it, I think the VStrom owners are running the Uly pegs as well, which I think are just wider versions of the lightning pegs, which are just lower versions of the firebolt pegs. So you could try VStrom pegs as well. Of course, all those bikes are switching *to* XB pegs, so maybe you are headed the wrong direction |

XB pegs do NOT work on 1125's. *Ulysses* pegs work. Different pegs, different mounts. XB peg mounts are too thick, won't fit in the U channel on the 1125. |

I went with the Taper Crosstrax with 1" Drop from Knight Designs in the link ThurstonBuell provided. I love them. |

I can spread some light on what fits what, since I've been making pegs for the last 1 1/2 years. The XB and 1125 straight pegs are basically the same. The XB drop peg (S Model) wont fit the 1125 because the 1125 has a "Box" around the peg mount, and the lower rear gusset of the S pegs will hit it. The Uly pegs fit the XB, but the forks are narrower, so the XB peg will not fit the Uly. The pivot pin hole and back spacing are the same as the XB and the 1125. The Blackbird pegs have a smaller pivot pin hole ( 8mm )than the Buells, and the back spacing is different. Blackbird peg is same as the Gen 5 & 6 VFR pegs. Same hole and backspacing. Others use the Uly peg for other models because it is narrower than just about anything else, and if you grind the heck out of it, and hog out the hole, and don't care what it looks like, you get a bigger peg to put your boot on. Hope this helps more than confuses |

I have the lightning drop pegs on my 1125. The fit just fine after I ground a little off. I think a lot of Japanese pegs will fit but they may need spacers or filing or drilling. I had XB pegs on my SV, I just had to grind down the thickness and drill out the mount hole. You just might have to be the first to give it a try. |
