OK, first, let's establish a budget. It won't matter how pretty they are or how well they work if they don't sell because of price. Price will most likely dictate the direction we take. Are the Yosh case savers @ $195/pair a fair price or too expensive? Keith |

I think $195 for a pair would be more than fair, especially if they are of similar style and quality. |

$195 sounds sweet. Its what, $300 for the Taylor stuff. It would be a nice bonus if there was some kind of replaceable piece like the button on your aluminum/derlin sliders. |

$195 is a fair market price. To expect any lower than that would be selfish seeing how much other manufactures are selling their product for. Unless you manage to find a way to make them pretty cheap... |

AT 195 I'm in for a set for sure. I am always good for another slice of American bolted onto the Buell.

i was gonna blow 300 on the taylor stuff, so 195 (for a comparable product) is a SWWEEEEEET deal |

Wow. $140 for the clutch side, $160 for the stator. Nice, and it's available.

Those are cool (those are just the Taylormade, right?), but I still think a nice machined aluminum set in the $195 price range would be a viable option. Of course, it will be Keith's decision whether or not to take the development risk. |

On ebay I found carbon fiber kits for only $40.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Carbon-Fiber-Kit-cl oth-epoxy-resin-mold-release_W0QQitemZ190342920151 QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_100?hash=item2 c515277d7#ht_588wt_940 Looks simple. I might try it. Have any of you tried it? |

What I was trying to say is that EBR is just selling the guards made by Taylormade. EBR isn't actually manufacturing them. |

Hm curious about those on EBR and what DHM comes up with. I've got bonus money still coming in. Which to blow it on... How about about a kit for the XB's primary cover? (Message edited by cataract2 on February 16, 2010) |

that ebay kit would look nice, but not perform well at all for this purpose. aesthetically pleasing but not functional. taylormade is a CF/kevlar sammich ... mmm sammich 'nom nom nom nom' some thing like 5/16 inch thick ... if i recall correctly. i would have to call and ask so don't quote me on that. part of me wants to buy from EBR to support him, but i am holding out for Keith's creation. he is one to never disappoint. if his are cheaper i could paypal EBR the difference or just buy some of those EBR six-dollar stickers. same result. |

Is that thing even safe? Like can the mounting point on the frame take the blow without causing more damage vs a normal drop? |

PM him and see if he is nice enough to send the images. I have dumped my CR 3 times, each time the pods did a fantastic job. Only other damage was to the clutch cover. I think the Uly frame pucks would be a better solution than those sliders. |

To bad to many speculating fools. It like half the people that ridicule things around here have no clue.Just look how everyone treated j4banger in his thread. It's like all the moderators went to a gay college and have had frat pillow fights. Its just bad.I get emails/Phone calls from customers all the time saying that this website is hitting a all time low in class.I agree those engine case sliders look great for 300.00 .Maybe you can add one of those great ecms too.Lol Ya didnt even see the design. Nobody ridiculed your design, we just posted legitimate questions. After all, who would spend money on something that could cause more harm that good? They look like they would make good mounts for highway pegs though If this website was so bad, including its management why are you even still here? Hell we have taken it easy on you despite you breaking the rules including posting under multiple screen names. No more. |

It's pretty amazing how fast a productive discussion can turn to a fruitless pissing match. Keith, if you're reading this, please don't give up on us! If I can lend a hand for product development or testing please let me know. |

I would love to see some kind of frame slider. It looks like Dark Horse is going to come out with some nice engine case sliders, so if you got something that can help protect the frame that would be sweet funny how you attitude changed after I posted a picture |
