Is it just me or does it seem that there are a lot of Buells currently for sale much cheaper than they should be.I would think with lack of productions there would be a spike in value rather than a decline.Are these people selling out to the best bidder having the correct foresight. Or are we all riding Legends. The last american alternative to heavy, underpowered machinery with poor handling and even worse suspension.What do you guys think? | ||

I like to think that there will be a day that they are super expensive and we sit back and talk about how cheap they once were. You could buy a ton of them for almost nothing. | ||

History: If you look at other motorcycle companies that have gone out of business you initially have a time of reduced value. You could have had a Norton, Triumph even Vincent for next to nothing after the factory closed. Look at the values now. Kaput | ||

I doubt it's just you as Harley-Davidson set aside $75,000,000 of the $125,000,000 allocated as direct incentives to move existing inventory. You can do the math . . but, in addition to the $4,000 1125's that were sold there were some other screaming deals made. Frankly, in an effort to purge the stock by year end the revenue interest was subrogated. It will have, likely for 18-24 months, an impact on the sales of used Buells but after that they'll level off as the used bike supply and demand returns to it's commercial equilibrium. Doubtful that will ever be "super expensive". I paid about $18,000 for my first Buell, you could buy it today for about $6,000. It's a motorcycle, it's depreciates. There are a couple models that have held up in value quite well. I don't see any of the current crop ever attaining any sort of value derived from scarcity. It's a motorcycle . . go ride it. almost all motorcycles are cheap right now, maybe not to the extent of the blowout 1125s,but good deals can be found on most anything. If I had space and money I would buy a bunch of bikes I don't need so maybe i'm lucky to have limited funds and space. For me the low prices are good because I've wanted a Buell for years and now have 2. | ||

I'm just happy to have two very nice tube-frame Buells, a 2001 S3T and a 2002 M2 Low. To me, they are worth far more than they might sell for today. If you own a Buell now, be happy. If you don't have a Buell, this is a good time to buy one. | ||

What, me worry ??? 108.822.1 miles as of the last ride and working on 200,000 miles !!! Liked the 2000 BLAST so much "i" bought one to just have a "BLAST" literally !!! The "PLUS" on "Tube Frames" is that 99% of the SPORTSTER engine parts "RETRO FIT" to TUBE FRAMES ... | ||

Sportster parts being available for a long long time was the reason I bought the M2 in 2002 as opposed to the XB9r (which I thought looked pretty cool) that was on the floor. Not sure if it will ever be worth a ton, but it will always be a cool bike that will turn heads for a long long time. | ||

i personally think the tubers will hold their value better than the xb bikes because of the parts interchangeability between them and the sporty. | ||

If you are buying a bike as an investment, I think you are confused. Or a hell of a lot smarter than me! To me, mine are priceless. They are also not for sale. I think the goal is to enjoy the bikes, and when the time comes to move on, do so. The cost per mile is pretty cheap. Mine make me smile, not a lot does that today. Kevin | ||

I buy and sell motorcycles way more than most. I like to experience motorcycles and no one will loan me a bike for 3 months. I've enjoyed the low prices because I've been finding good enough deals that I can get my money back when I'm done playing. The 3 bikes I have now will most likely be here for years. I just sold a Yamaha TW200 for $200 less than I payed for my tastefully modified M2, Strange times indeed. | ||

I don't buy motorcycles to sell them and make money. Though I have.I buy them because I love to ride. Even the nicest cage isn't good enough.LOL Snake oil: I wanna be like you when I grow up. I'm still restricted to switching up once a year. I have ridden many many motorcycles and for me my M2, I like the best. Though I could use to lose an inch or two seat height. There is no replacement for that Hooligan torque and that rough and ready look.To me my bike is worth way more than the 3k it says on KBB.Only reason I checked is if I go down, GOD forbid. I wanted to know how much Id get to buy another tuber.Lets hope that doesn't happen. If it does, I hope prices stay low. I'm gonna want another Buell. | ||

If the prices get any lower I'll buy a 2nd M2 for backup. For me there is nothing that fills my needs better than my M2. | ||

I hope they go up, but in a year when I can afford to reclaim my M2...I miss it more than any bike I've ever gotten rid of. | ||

I almost hate to mention this but I just bought a 97 M2 for 500.00 at a bank repo sale. In good shape with 1500 -2000$ worth of upgrades 26K I know this is not real world but I had to tell someone.  | ||
