Took the XB12R in for a service and had another exceptional experience at Gainesville Buell. I have only put on 688 miles since my last service in Feb '09- but they're all track miles. Everything looked great except for two minor issues- a plug wire had rubbed through, and the ECM would not load the latest flash. Answer: replace plug wire and ECM. Yep, they replaced my ECM and loaded the latest flash. Impressive- especially since my warranty was out a couple of months ago. Gotta love Gainesville Buell! I also got to park next to this great-looking 1125R. I think it belongs to the nice guy in parts who I had a great conversation with. You meet the nicest people at Buell dealers. yea that's tim aka no_rice. he is a familiar face around here along with a few other places. lol. very sweet looking bike that he has. was up there a couple weeks ago along with dynasport getting our 1k service done on his 10xt and my wifes scg. he's only there for the winter trying out the snowbird thing. as far as gainesville goes, paul and family are great people up there. There are three (3) Buell dealers in Jacksonville, but the guys in Gainesville are the only people I trust to work on my bike- the two hour drive is worth it! I had hoped I would meet Tim (No rice) while I was there, and I didn't even need to ask for him. This custom 1125R pulls into the lot and parks next to my XB. He walks straight to my bike and eyeballs it, and I just knew this guy must be No rice- so I walk over and say hello. No rice fits right in with the other quality people at Gainesville Buell- I have always received outstanding work and superior customer service from Paul, and Tim, Mike & Earl in service. The addition of Tim (No rice) in parts was just icing on the cake. Todd, great to hear from you! I hope you are enjoying your Ss (I guess my answers to your questions were satisfactory). I look forward to seeing you again at the track. | ||

well another random day at gainesville buell. a few guys wandered in here a bit ago, one of which had buell stuff on. he started eyeballing the 1125 pipe on the wall. so we got to talking. started talking about our bikes and i told him i had a olive drab green xb9r and an orange 1125r and a black cr. he reaches in his pocket, grabs his phone and says "this one?" i looked at the pic and i'll be damned, it was a pic of my 1125r sitting in jenn's garage the night i put it back together after painting it. how random is it that a guy on the way through from tennessee happens to stop in the shop that i just happen to be hanging out at for a few months, and has pictures of my bike stored on his phone because he thinks it looks great. that was kinda cool as far as im concerned. lol | ||

i forget what date he said he was gonna be coming through, i just know it's gonna be on a monday with a couple of his buddies. last year it worked out to where he showed up on a saturday so we met him up there and rode back this way. unfortunately work will prevent me from doing it again this year. | ||

ive got monday and tuesday off! but i can definatly make sure i am around! michael figures he's coming through sunday the 28th or monday the 1st. i wouldnt mind riding with them for a bit but we will have to see how it works out. | ||

My 1125R needs to do a homecoming back to Gainesville HD. That's where it was bought from. Sigh, alas, I don't see that happening for at least a year. | ||
