I am in grand rapids Michigan and want to trade my low setup for a 43mm standard height. 13k miles on mine and checked out before I parked it in the fall. I can pitch in turning wrenches for the swap if you have tools and know how. I can ride a few hundred miles to meet once the weather warms up a bit. I don't have a truck for transport so meet and wrench only. or I can try to split the cost if a pro is needed to do the swap. (I am a college student after all so money is a rare object) PM me if interested. (Message edited by delta_one on February 11, 2010) |

I have an XB9sl same as the cg I am trading the rear shock and forks and as Buellblastrider reminded me the kickstand. this will make any XB9SX XB12s or firebolt lower than stock and make mine taller. swapping only the rear spring will stagger the height too much leaving your bike tall in the front and mine tall in the rear but the rest will be as it was. an offer was made to me from a bueller in toledo that will do the swap for 75 per bike and this is a great deal! so anybody that would like to meet me in the toledo area to do the swap. |

It wont work on a Ss TT or Uly due to the difference in swingarms. |

damn it! If we happened to be closer i'd say lets do it! And better yet I'd do the swap myself. So if you feel like a long bike ride to Texas, let me know |

Jay do you know anybody that can do the swap? Rah7x7 I would like too but for now I am looking for a fork set from an 05 or newer. I would like the 43mm forks so I can install Buell race spring set. I havent found much for the smaller forks. special note: all of the Cg forks are 41mm as are all the lightnings and Firebolts up to 05 (correct me if I'm wrong here guys) |

all of the lows have the same forks, you could put the low stuff on a newer bike but would need to swap the trees, i would not do it on a SS or uly, the trees have a different rake then the rest. |

Technically, you only need the lower triple. The upper triple and steering stem are common. Uly/SS/TT, etc. are different, though. VERY easy swap, I personally did this on two bikes back in July in the matter of about 3 hours start to finish. Buy the appropriate manuals and follow the torque sequence and values and you'll be fine. |

ZackBX12s I know where Hersey is my Dad lives in the Big Rapids Paris area (in fact I lived by some Browns on 7 mile and played soccer one of them). If you have access to the tools and stuff needed to do it I could meet you in Hersey or if not I could meet you in Toledo for the swap too. (Message edited by delta_one on February 17, 2010) |

I have a manual for my bike. pull off the front wheel and brake caliper, forks the lower triple (might have to pull the headlight modules for that) and the rear shock. |

Time to shake the dust off of this. Zack as it turned out may not need a low bike so I am back looking for a trade. But I now have a local guy that will do the swap just out side of Grand Rapids MI and it should be done in only a day. I want to swap before riding starts in Michigan. Please PM me |

Getting a lot of PM's for 03 and 04 bikes and as of right now I am still trying to find a 2005 or newer so I can install the buell race spring set. But thank you for your interest. Also I would like to keep it to local swaps or anybody willing to come out here to Michigan. They will have a place to stay the night and a sofa to sleep on if they don't want a hotel. We can even feed you :-) I can be the one to travel if you can do the wrenching and there is cheep overnight stay nearby. (no truck so I'll be riding both directions) (Message edited by delta_one on March 24, 2010) |

If you cannot find somebody to trade I have the "normal" forks, shock and kickstand off my 2004 XB12 available for sale. $350 for everything plus shipping. I had offered this up for trade back in December but no bites. Ended up buying new. call me at 303-702-1600 if interested Weekdays |
