Probably somewhere...but why ?

The CR was designed nekid for a reason.
In this case...the less the better.

I really like the no mirror/indicator look of the CR also.
(Bar end mirrors are just not practical/safe for daily lane splitting. Beside making the bike tooooo wide).

I was thinking about a stand alone belly pan on my CR. There are two types of side panels from what I have seen. The kind that goes over the side inductions (not a fan of) and others that kinda tuck underneath the inductions. I think the unders would look good on a CR. See this thread:

Were you planning on taking the mirror from your bathroom wall to use?

Bar end mirrors add no real width to the bike (OK maybe a couple of centimeters) if you're cutting it that close to the cars you're passing then all I can say is "be careful"

Jules,..depending on where you ride, those centimeters (not quite just a couple btw) make quite a difference. Try going down Santa Monica Blvd at rush hour, twice a day, everyday...
Clipping mirrors of brand new Aston Martins or whatever, then having to stop and talk to the guy is not fun. You can ride away and be an ass, but id prefer not to clip at all.

Wow - I thought we had it tough here, at least there's a couple of inches spare on each side when I filter - almost enough for a full length dress mirror on each bar!

I guess that's a small price to pay to be able to ride all year. I wish I had that problem here but I have 2 feet of snow to look at with another 1.5-2ft coming.

Sorry for the response, I'm just fed up with all this snow.

I'd be more concerned about my stock brake lever clipping someones mirror than my bar end mirror hitting anything. Mine is sticking up from the bar, not out and they make ones that fold up, so they would stick out less than a bar weight.

Needless to say, I'm a big fan of bar end mirrors and since lane splitting is only legal in Cali, it's not an issue for anyone else. Bar end mirrors don't vibrate either.

Too many traffic cams in Florida to be lane splitting.

Every time Mike mentions how unsafe he feels bar end mirrors are, I feel i must speak in their defense. I've never had a problem glancing at my mirror, just like I don't glancing at my car side mirrors or glancing over my shoulder like I always do when changing lanes, like everyone should. If you are going so fast that you can't take your eyes off the road ahead for a split second or there is so much traffic that you must have all your attention forward, well you don't need to be change lanes.

I think some side panels that would bolt under the stock pods and cover the front half of the muffler, would kick butt.

to each their own but I think that those side pannels take away from the look of the CR

That CR looks sexy as too bad the CF sides cost an arm and a leg.

I agree that the full side fairings don't look good on the CR. I like the naked look of this bike.

Now the R, to me, has always looked kind of out of place without them. If I had a R I would get full side fairings and a belly pan.

.02 cents.

Although I like the naked look as long as what your looking at doesn't look ugly naked. Like some women look great in clothes and lead you to believe they would look great naked; not so,you know, stretch marks, floppy tits, cottage cheese thighs, etc. Anyway, the full fairing looks great on the CR, especially the one posted by Joel9. I've seen worst naked bikes, the CR is OK except for the exhaust thing and most of the aftermarket exhausts need to be covered as well. Great option that I would be interested in, but not at the prices ilmberger charges. Thats the problem generally with finding Buell aftermarket parts, not enough competition due to a lack of vendor participation (don't blame them really) and a shortage of used aftermarket parts. Its going to be fun when the HD commitment ends, we will be like Cuba in 1959.

Thats NOT the ilmberger fairings!!!! As far as i can see its a special version of the Buell R fairings, that has been cut and trimmed and combined seamlessly with the belly pan. Dont think you can get that exact fairing anywhere. Correct me if i'm wrong.

the tail section is from the 1125rr racebike so i would think EBR will be selling them soon.
