LOL, my alternate goal is usually just to go riding Leave me alone, I have a headache & need to go for a ride. I thought attendance was piss poor. Granted the whole rally deal is nothing more than a high priced shopping mall in tents, but they did have some pretty cool bikes. Got a few ideas for the rear wheel & fender for my bike this winter. How many t-shirt & leather booths can 1 person actually look at?? Anyone either partake or at least watch the Teresi dyno drags? They are fun, I did that out in Sturgis but the times are not even close to real world times. You will see stock Harleys putting down times in the 11 sec range....yea sure. Its still fun to compete on tho. I wonder how the rally is making out overall with such horrible weather? Friday sucked, saturday was good but looked like it was going to pour for quite a while, & now today is another rainy crummy day. |

I wonder how the rally is making out overall with such horrible weather? You have got to be kidding. The prepaid passports should have helped offset the losses significantly for the promoters (IE: rain insurance if there is such a thing). However, I assume the vendors are taking it in the shorts though. |

I wonder how many "passes" they sold. Yesterday it looked like a lot more bikes were outside in the "free" parking than inside. And I dont know about anyone else but that infield parking didnt look too secure to me. Didnt see many folks buying much of anything except beer. I know I didnt spend a nickel there. Went to Hooters afterwards for buffalo strips I know the rally will make $$ simply based on what they charge the vendors to setup, but as you pointed out those same vendors must have lost a bundle. |

Gutters?? Who needs stinking gutters?we'll have to see what the numbers look like I did get the flagpole up last night and old glory is waving proudly in my front yard. In time for Flag Day as well. I propose a BBQ for the Fourth of July weekend for Brew City Brag. We need a good get together, to be preluded by a ride of course."> edited by blastin on June 10, 2003 |

I was going to be in Texas over the 4th, but due to MidwestExpress not being as discounted as they claim to be I may be in town that weekend and may be up for feed. If I don't make the meeting tonight please post the parameters if any are decided upon. In the mean time I'm waiting for a call-back from a vulture predator realtor about a house. |

FYI - We need to try and get a count of the number of Buell 20th Anniversary posters that are needed. They will be sold at $5 each to help cover the cost of shipping them. To view the poster (minus a few logos) you can click on the link under "Quick Board" and "20th Anniversary Poster" thread in M2me's post dated June 9th. The poster will be 17" x 24" !! At this point we just need a really good idea of how many we need in order for everyone to get what they want !! When the poster is printed, possibly by the end of June per m2me, we will post the information on where to send the money for the posters, and as the checks are recieved the posters will be mailed out !! In order to keep folks from having to repeat their posts if they have already put in a request, I've listed what we have so far in the 20th Anniversary thread !! Thanks, cjmblast

Hey All...You need to get to Hal's or your local HD Dealer and pick up the complimentary copy of the Biker's Guide. It is the special collectors 2003 edition and is just jam packed with things to go, see and do. Granted most of it centers around the 100th, but is applicable year round. The neatest thing I found is that Hal's is featuring Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels as well as the Fabulous Thunderbirds, two of my all time favorites. I can't wait. This is going to be fabulous as they are only a few miles from my home and I won't have to fight the downtown traffic! Can't wait to peruse the rest of the magazine for additional venues in town. This is going to be one helluva summer!!! |

Nevco1, The PDC run will be on June 29th. Meet at the Pizza Hut on the south side of town, you can't miss it. Be there between 11-12 ride leaves at 12 NOON SHARP! Be gassed up and ready by then. We will go for 2-3 hour ride through the hills and twisties around PDC. I don't have a route, just follow me! We will then return to PDC and go to a Bar and Grille on the river that is co-owned by the parts manager at our dealership for eats and tire kicking time. Then we all go our separate ways. Bomber, If you have to have a Pete burger you will have to go there the day before. Pete's is just too slow to feed a hungry mob like us. Are you still bringing the Mrs? Ride to the edge!
