Well I just made my decision up to put a real tool kit in the Uly. I was contemplating doing it anyways but today sent me over the top. It wasn’t a big deal but was more of an annoyance than anything, plus if this little issue happened on an elective issue what’s going to happen when a real problem happens. I went to adjust my left hand clutch lever angle and the tool that’s in the kit is an 8mm nut driver for the screw driver handle, not a wrench. He-Man probably couldn’t have loosened this nut with the dumb nut driver. I was also surprised at the lack of tools in the kit. One of the 2 wrenches they did throw in the kit was a spanner wrench even though I don’t need one. I noticed that all of the sizes in the stock kit are metric but the aftermarket one has both sizes. I thought our bikes were made in America. (Message edited by badrap on February 17, 2010) |

Ordered kit from grharley. $59 To my door, couldn't pass it up. Will add a couple of things, (and change out a couple of wrenches to gear wrenches, but this way I'm not robbing from one tool set, to make another... I can deal with Taiwanese made stuff over main-land. I was going to end up at Harbor freight anyway Thanks a bunch for the link Dcc46! |

How do I get this tool kit to fit into my Tube? What do I need to leave out?

I'm making my own tool kit, and using an adjustable wrench to replace all of the other indivisual wrenches. |

Take out the three largest wrenches. Roll it up REAL tight. I put mine in bottom first, and when I got to the strap rotated it on in. I substituted some of the wrenches for gear wrenches, and moved around some stuff. I took a 12mm gear wrench and stuck the gear end over the 3/8 ratchet, and slid it down into the pouch pocket. After in was in the tube I was able to slid in a 3/8 and 7/16 wrenches. It's a tight fit, bur works. Put you tress large wrenches under you seat, in a bag, or in another tube. - I have four, but I'm like that. |
