Pipe looks how my jardine does on my blast, not a fan for the 25r. With that said the black or carbon can looks a lot better if they fix the blowing directly on the rear tire, and like stated before th mid-pipe isn't the best looking finish. But if it reall gives 17 hp bye bye fmf hello barker, someone dyno this please so I know what to buy within the next month! Lol

If you look closely at the carbon can pic you'll notice(due to that large bend)that the can is mounted really far under the right side of the motor. So it is probably just hitting the edge of the tire. They may not even have to change the tip that much(and possibly mess up the nice looks of that can)to blow by the tire.

That's why I couldn't tuck mine up in that empty area behind the motor as much as I wanted to. With the diffuser discs on it and angled more to my liking it would've been blowing alot more on the bottom edge of the tire whereas current position is pretty even all the way around. I wanted it centered on the tire not cocked off to the side(boner in tight jeans style). Not to mention I didn't want to change the D&D mid pipe more than I had to. As it had to be re-angled to get that incline without shortening the can even more.

I really like this Barker exhaust, and the price well, I wish i wasn't so damned impatient. But once I get my mitts on that EBR ecm and if it won't gel with my exhaust this one will be first on my list. Can't wait to here it!!

guys read all the posts the cf is just a mock up and they mount under the machine so little damage will occur on a bounce and also there is a dyno chart

I don't know the rules on posting this sorry if its wrong

I think thst by the time I heat wrap the link pipe and paint the can with matt black BBQ paint it'll look fine (especially as I have the fairing lowers fitted).. I'm still looking at options for a bellypan, possibly one from a Ducati Monster with a bit of reshaping...

Chill Bb I'm not knocking your choice. That is why I said that THEY MAY NOT EVEN HAVE TO CHANGE THE TIP (hence the knowledge of it being a mock up).

What was the green line of the three runs from?

Red is stock
Green is with the addition of the pipe
Blue is with the pipe and a K&N...

...or so I believe

I don't remember - did Drummer publish dyno charts too?

TBH at the price I'm happy to take a punt, if it gives the gain I'll be happy, if not I'll probably be able to live with it for the noise LOL

I don't think Drummer ever published in-house results.

all the mufflers will have a turn out.
the carbon fiber was a photo shop but the carbon cans are more expensive.
powder coating is more cost effective.
I plan to drive over and pick mine up when it is ready.
the gap is for 2 reasons from what i have talked to the builder a it gives a better length for scavaging
also it will crash better less chance of engine damage.
the pipe color should change to the same as the head pipes being it is stainless just needs heat and time

You are correct. The "independent" dyno runs were performed by a Badweb member in Florida. I was simply referring to the tremendous skewing of the numbers. IIRC, the member in Florida used the worst stock run and the best Drummer run to make it look like there was a huge difference (like +19 or +29 HP possibly) btw stock and Drummer. After cutting thru all the BS, the Drummer increase was generally accepted from +7-9 HP, which is actually really good for just a slip-on.

If it were me doing it, I'd publish best stock vs best modified or aftermarket. I guess the other question about the Barker exhaust is, how long was the time frame between runs? Was it "run the stock, swap parts, run their pipe" without any learning curve, or did they run it for 200+ miles and force it to run in the learn mode? Was there any tuning involved? Did they run their pipe without an air filter or with? Open airbox or not? There's a lot of variables that aren't shown, so there's really only two people who know at this point. The guy that made the pipe and the guy on the dyno.

Agreed, as long as you are comparing apples to apples, it's fine.

I believe the previous posts said there was "no time for tuning" so it's reasonable to assume that they dis the stock run then immediately changed the pipe for the second run and then just swapped to a K&N for the third... All in one session.

Like I said id like to see someone on here dyno it, I don't believe anything a company says when it comes to hp gains, there is always something iffy. Maybe its just me

On all of my dyno charts that i posted, i i took the best run file for each item i tested.. this is the only way IMO...

i'll be curious what the other users will see in gains.

I enjoy seeing dyno number posts but have a question on the one Brumbear posted. No reference to "the messenger" but if this is with "no tune" why are the A/F ratios all well under 14-1 and closer to 13-1 and as linear as I've seen? I thought the stock ECM was much leaner even toward 15 or even 16-1 in certain places. "NO TUNE" ????? I'm wondering but I really want to like this system especially the large bend from the head pipes as I did on mine. Hope it sells Barker. Good job. Bob

Good question I don't know, I just took the pic off another site cause you can't post here or they consider it advertising and thats a no no. I will revisit that site and see what the whole article says and if I can post it.

Hi Guys, The 17 gain was with the K&N and slip-on. I did not get a chance to tune on it at all because we used a Demo bike from RayCs Harley. The slip-on alone made 12hp. It is a megaphone with a reverse cone inside before the muffler. I sent Mike a couple more pics he can post up of a carbon muffler. I can do them in Black powdercoat also for those who are asking.

I don't think they are saying the K&N alone gained 5 hp. I believe it gained 5 HP when coupled with the Barker exhaust.

Easyrider says you can gain 5hp from a K&N and i have no reason to believe otherwise.
