Hello.Wait,What? I've been collecting XT/XTR components for the first Winter project. Then it's cam belts and hopefully a dyno tune.Worked doubletime today
Going to try and start planning a trip down to the dragon in march.. If the weather pattern stays the way it is we will be riding here first.
If my plan comes together anyone interested in tagging along? Got a timeshare week to use BY apr 5th lots of plans this year trying to sqeeze it all in.
my vaca is maxed out with racing season looming. i do wanna get down there at some point. you should make an effort to go during march badness, spyed her, some of these clowns will tell you its tits.
i am buying a pipe for my bike either d&d or a race pipe..whoever selles it the cheapest!.did the airbox and breather mod,put in a k&n filter. now is there anything else i should do before i dyno and program it. also who around here can do the programing?
First of all, read this. American Sport Bike's exhaust shootout... pretty much the bible for upgrading your exhaust. If you want to save money just get an aluminum Jardine. Best can for the cash, unless you homebrew a Drummer-style can. Since Buell stopped building race cans they sometimes go for upwards of $300 on eBay. As for remapping, well, good luck finding someone who can dyno a Buell. But with ECM Spy (free), an ECM cable($20-$40), and some reading (also free), you can at least dump in a good baseline map for your setup. That's all I did with mine, and she runs fine.
I'd like to throw you towards Tattoo72, our resident exhaust builder, but he has been MIA for a while. I guess he got himself a decent job and hasn't got time for it anymore. Sad thing... he did awesome work.

You could brick your ECM if you're not careful. Several of us have access to the maps and experience with the software. Just ask. But it's good to know how to do it.
