I figured, since there is no hotmale registered. I sent you 15 bones, but forgot to include my id and email. How about riding it around a little with the stock exhaust and race ecm. I want to know how the throttle response feels and how well it cruises. (Message edited by moosestang on February 09, 2010) |

ok here will be the runs i do...... Since i have faith the last few bucks will come in. 1. Stock filter, stock exhaust, EBR ECM 2. K&N, Stock exhaust, EBR ECM 3. HMF pipe, Stock filter, stock computer 4. HMF, K&N, Stock computer 5. HMF, Stock filter, EBR ECM 6. HMF, K&N, EBR ECM. I will TRY to control the temps of the engine as i know a hot engine will give less numbers, but the shop still has say in how much dyno time i get vs costs.. I'll try to get 5 min cool down betweens runs with the dyno fans on and engine running... that will help even out the variables. We will have a WIDEBAND O2 in the front header. I will provide dyno sheets with baseline and each of the mods... thats all.. no other comparisons. sorry the combination of dyno charting is just too much IMO.. Those who donated though, please email now with what you want to see (if its different from above) and i will arrange any dyno sheet you want and email them to you direct. Testing should commense tomorrow afternoon... and continue till i'm done |

Are you going to do all runs the same day? I honestly don't know how hard it is to remove the exhaust, but I know the ecm is easy to swap. |

Sincerely; THANK YOU! Banger and everyone else who contributed to this endevour. Objective data is hard to come by (especially 'round here!) and this project is nothing but the good stuff! Well done. |

Nope over the course of 2 days... all stock exhaust stuff one day, go home swap things out and then return the next day and make the runs with HMF pipe. REMEMBER GUYS. IF my bike made say 138.20947376493287whp it does not mean yours will be any where close. Also keep in mind the dyno is at 1700 ft elevation, so my buddies in Houston might show a bit more power and guys in CO will show less. the correction factor on dynos is not exact. What this dyno will show is that given my baseline, i will make X amount of power above/below stock and that expected gains should be AROUND these numbers. Every bike is different. The big thing here is too see how the RACE ECM will handle subtle changes like K&N only or slipon only, both, or stock everything for those who just feel you need to waste money on a ECM These will be as accurate as number as i can replicate. Each test gets one run... A/F monitered and then on to the next thing. Also i will state this now, DISCLAIMER.......... If you are one of those poeple that feels that my test methods were not accurate enough, or you feel the need to bash me on a forum becuase your dog screwed your wife that morning ...SAVE IT... i have done tests like this before, i'm no newby. i will gladly accept constructive critisism, but if you bring a up a problem , you best also have a theory to some kind of solution. Twice before i gave up my time and money to do testing on products for my 4 pot turbo stang, and twice some arogant smartass felt the need to attack the methods in which i did the tests... since then i still do tests for various products but not one word of it ever goes back to the community.. If you feel my method of testing is inaccurate, by all means keep your thoughts to yourself and spend your own money on testing in a fashion of your choosing.. END DISCLAIMER Well the weather is clearing up a bit, so I MIGHT be able to get some work done today, thats if the UPS man gets here early enough. |

OH yea the inner airbox will be installed on all runs. the baseline was done like this, so why completely screw up the testing by changing that variable...i'm sure they would be a noticable difference thanks for reminding me.. though i may run it without the cover, once, for my own curiousity HE HE HE....thats on my dime. LOL. (Message edited by justa4banger on February 09, 2010) |

J-BANGER- Can't wait to see the results-really. Just out of curiosity why the I-40 and not I-10? If you decide to come down 10 stop in Tucson and we'll have a beer, on me. On the reals, no hard feelings. |

Well I-40 because if i go that way through Amarillo its about 19 hours to get home.... if i go I-10 its 22 hours to austin and then another 4.5 hours to dallas. PLUS I-10 SUCKS BALLS.. they should have rollers on the guard rails, so you can just set the cruise at warp speed and ping pong down the freeway... that has to be one of the worst stretches of hwy in the US.. (even at the posted 80 mph limit) Thanks for the offer on the beer. You can have one for me once i get all the results back... Well i'm still waiting on my UPS truck.. they said no later than 7 pm for delievery, well i know its 7pm somewhere in the world, WhereTF is my goodies UPS MAN!!!! |

Ok, I've changed my mind. I ordered a K&N filter, so I want to see stock exhaust, K&N, race ecm. No need to do a dyno run with the stock filter for my sake. |
