So, Find A Bike shows 85 CRs. Just got off the phone with Paul (not Chris the manager) and he says they have 5 black demos and 3 new blacks (we didn't talk reds). I was like I thought you have like 45 blacks...that's what Find a Bike said. He says no, we wish, they been flying out of here...had a bunch back in October but...I told him what Find a Bike says and he says it's behind...and that they sold 11 over the week end...I know Find a Bike is behind but come on...something doesn't make sense...anyone talk to Chris lately and know what's up? |

I'm sure there is a huge disconnect there between the dealers and "Find a Bike". Biggest question would be how is that database managed. My guess it only applies to new inventory, not any purchased through the auction program. Just a guess though. |

Sorry, that was awful...was multi-tasking on a work call while writing.

I *believe* - and I could be wrong - that it is tied to the Vehicle Order Management System (for bikes that have been shipped to a dealership), and the SWR Registration system (for bikes that have been sold and registered to new owners, or officially transferred to another dealer). No telling what sorts of hoops the data has to go through to get to the final destination - the Find A Bike listings. I do know that bikes will show up on locator (a function of H-Dnet that allows dealers to see inventory - much like an internal Find A Bike) for up to 3 weeks after they are sold and SWR'd, depending on the data-load and amount of traffic. |

Bikes that have a deposit on them, but not actually sold yet would not appear to be sold. McHenry had mine for a few weeks before I was able to get out to finalize the paperwork. |

McHenry and Woodstock are under the same ownership and share inventory. You could also call Woodstock. |

Picked mine up there last week. The back was jammed with bikes. I didn't ask how many they had at the time. I was just there for one. Chris the sales mgr did tell me they had 109 cr's when I asked him about it 2 weeks or so ago. |

Hd, that makes more sense to me...maybe Paul just didn't know...Chris was backing up his finance person today so was swamped. |
