Hey Pat (its Wes), shoot me an e-mail if you could i want to talk Daytona gearing with you. Bummer about the Vincent...That changes my plans drastically as i just about had the XBRR ready to go! Definitely want to run it with the vincent to have the two baddest air cooled V-twin race bikes ever out there. Back to the 1125's now...sounds like there will be at least 4 or 5 1125's! bring on the ducati's, Duck season is almost hear! |

Wes, voicemail sent re Daytona gearing etc. 186bigtwin, the Irving Vincent owner got back to me and said....... "200mph sounds good (you can't let the truth get in the way of a good story)" !!!! So I have no idea! You'd have to think it would be around 180? Ken told me it was making 165hp on the dyno, and he was expecting 180+hp on the new 4 valve motor. It doesn't look heavy either and the aerodynamics don't look bad? |

Some body needs to bring a radar gun to the Daytona front straight and gets speeds falling out of NASCAR turn 4. It's 50 ft tall !!!! |

To Manxboy: Any idea about gearing for Daytona with Buell race pipe and race ECU? I do have the chain drive swingarm set-up and have 17 & 18T countershaft sprockets and 42-44-46-48 rear sprockets. I would like to be sure I am bringing something close for both Savannah & Daytona. |

Court, I will be @ Daytona with AHRMA on Monday and Tuesday on my 1125R in BOTT F1 and Sound of Thunder (and my Manx Norton in Premier 500) Skipbr, 17-44 should be very close @ Daytona depending upon wind direction etc. Roebling Rd I'm starting at 17-46 (I've not run my 1125R there yet) |

Court and All Walt #221 and I will be there racing my 1125r in the 200. We have a very tight budget this year so may not have a garage. Look us up anyway and say hello. ref |

the pushrod motor will be more competitive in formula 2 although there is no reason it can't run in formula 1 with AHRMA. good luck, tim |

Tim (Smoke) Just read on the AHRMA website that anyone racing CCS on Sunday needs to "contact Cindy Cowell @ ccowell@ahrma.org NOW". Reference not being able to get to Sundays riders meeting and tech. See you @ Daytona! Pat. |

Pat, i think i spurred that announcement. i received the AHRMA mag and noticed prereg was by friday and on the website arrangements needed to have been made by Jan25 if the tech, rider meetings etc. were a problem for sunday. i sent an email and Cindy emailed me back so i'm good. see you in Daytona and i promise not to cause the red flag this time after you take the lead tim |

186Bigtwin, unfortunately they will not be here for Daytona, but I have been trying to encourage Takesan to come over for Barbers in October, leave the bike with me, then come back for Dayton 2011. They already have left a lot of their race gear with me from their last trip over. Takesan did send their interpreter (Adam) over for Barbers '09 on a "scouting" mission, he took loads of photos and went back with a glowing review, so hopefully they'll be here later this year. Their race bike is very special and beautiful, as you well know. It would be great to see them here along with the Irving Vincent....... |

02m2, Pete at Grandstand Designs sells a conversion kit. He is currently out of stock on new ones but he did have a used one he could sell. Erick Buell Racing has the nice adjustable swingarm kit for a chain conversion. I just bought a FreeSpirits adjustable tension from Twin Motorcycles, Chain from ebay, rear sprocket from Vortex, and eboos from this site donated me a front sprocket. |

looking good for Buell at Daytona!! two for sure in the 200 and good representation in CCS and AHRMA. i'm sure that ASRA will still have a contingent as well. Jason Padilla was preregistered with WERA on an 1125r last weekend at Talladega but was a no show due to illness. mine worked good at Talladega but the conditions were less than optimal. 2nd in HVWT novice solo, 8th in A superstock, 2nd in HVWT superbike and my first win ever was in HVWT superstock. small grid in HVWT, just John Moore and i, there were 5 DNS in HVWT races. SEE Y'ALL IN DAYTONA!! tim |

Looking at the entries for Daytona Sportbike it seems that number 125 Ryan Patterson has somewhat of an unfair advantage in machine terms |
