But now that I can start to trust my tires oncemore, the fun is returning. Planning to ride this Saturday. Any one? There is a strange and confusing new wind blowing through the Rain Forest... change is afoot... |

Hey! Jaci and I are planning on riding this Satuday too! We're going to the motorcycle show in Abbottsford. You guys should come up. (Since you didn't trouble to hook up with us while we were down there for yours!!!!!) But more importantly............. Are we agreed that SPLASH should be July 23,24,25? Or the week before? Its a funny looking month this year. |

Hey all, I have a light homework weekend and want to get out. I'm thinking of taking the new bitch for a good hard ride, changing her fluids and spending some quality garage time together. Farkles have been arriving daily, I'm going to dress her down a bit. Eric, either of the weekends in July are good for us, just kind'a threw out a date to get feedback (hint). See ya, Chris |

Weekend update, Adjust the Pit Bull stand to accept 1125R swingarm width Ditch the Noid Install K&N air filter Test ride: I never had a chance to feel the "Noid Stumble" and don't care to. The K&N air filter allows the intake to make a wonderful thump on throttle; this is music. Stopped for gas on the way home, first tank was about 30 MPG, I'll take that during break-in. Best to all, Chris |

Chris, did you put one of them resistors in after the de-noiding? All it does is make the engine check light stay off... I'm averaging about 1000 mi. per month since sept., and these are the things I've noticed ... rear bloinker replaced, high beam flasher died, tach rev light is intermittent, low fuel light comes on for no reason, wierd 'click' in front end when front breaks are grabbed (shop thinks loose bolt), sometimes dies with a horrible clank when I come to a stop, falls over when it's tires are cold... But I love this bike. Did some suspension adjustments that I found in Cycle World (in a comparison with a Duc... they liked the Buell better!) and they made a nice difference in cornering stability (confidence). |

Don, I don't remember if I told you what a cool bass you got! I checked it out on the web, and it sure looks sweet! I just got a Boss ME50-B, and it sure is fun to make a bunch of wierd noises and freak out the other guys in the band. We just got a gig in march playing for a 'Meals on Wheels' benefit. The coolest part is the gig is in a real theatre! Real stage, curtians, lights, and PA. We are pretty excited. |

Just got done putting some slate tiles on the wall. What a pain in the ass!! I have to make time for riding. No Noids on the KTM and the speed triple is to old to know what one is. ( Hell me too) Bob |

Did you put one of them resistors in after the de-noiding? All it does is make the engine check light stay off... I've had my bike denoided for the last 25,000+ miles and have only seen the engine light / engine code thrown ONCE shortly after doing it. I've not installed the resistor. rear bloinker replaced Typical. I had 3 die (right one went out twice). high beam flasher died Never heard of that problem... However, my left turn signal consistently refused to cancel for about 36 hours. I believe it was due to water intrusion into the assembly closing the circuit. Hasn't happen again after drying out. tach rev light is intermittent What do you mean intermittent? It only comes on over 4K RPM when the clutch is pulled in (i.e. if shifting @ high RPMs), the bike is in Neutral, or you've pulled the speed sensor so you can ride with the diagnosics on (which is kind of cool, but also won't track your odometer reading while you do so). low fuel light comes on for no reason Known issue if it comes on when cold along with the engine light and a P1005 code is thrown, then both go out once engine temp >165. Fix is the latest replacement instrument cluster per Anony here. wierd 'click' in front end when front breaks are grabbed (shop thinks loose bolt) Not a loose bolt, it's in the suspension. Nothing to worry about really, but you can make it go away by switching to a heavier fork oil, such as the stuff sold by Al @ AmericanSportbike.com. See this for more info. sometimes dies with a horrible clank when I come to a stop I think this is also a known issue, but I forget the fix... Maybe check and reset your TPS. Procedure is here. falls over when it's tires are cold... Try a set of Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact (due out this month) or Roadtec Z6 Interact tires. But I love this bike. Me too! Did some suspension adjustments that I found in Cycle World (in a comparison with a Duc... they liked the Buell better!) and they made a nice difference in cornering stability (confidence). URL? |

Hey Galen, Yeah, I installed the resistor and tied the butterflies open. She was a little reluctant to start at first; ran a bit on the rough side for a few miles then smoothed out. Either I let her set too long between rides or the ECM detected the change and adjusted accordingly. I stopped for gas on my way home and she fired right up and purrs like the nasty kitten she really is. As for your issues: The '08s can get a cluster replacement warrantied for the electrical issues. I've heard of the 08's stalling problems being eliminated with an updated flash. They really replaced the rear shock? Cold tires in Pacific North West? Later Bra, Chris |

Rear shock? huh? No, th erear shock is just dandy. The tach dealio is; it only lights sometimes. I run it uo to 8000, no light. Then I run it up to 6000 and it comes on. Needs new pod I think. I'll look up the suspension settings and post 'em later today. |

Hey Galen, My bad, I thought ... rear bloinker replaced, was your interpretation of the shock. Let me guess, rear blinker was replaced..... left side. Do I win? Chris |

WWBD That just kill's me. But, If I have any type of true executive push,..........Then the next directive...............Ron, you need to get the parking situation sorted out. Ya, and I'll take care of the Sue issue. You just get that parking under controll. Oh, we don't generally wreck too many things in the host's home but maybe put breakables a little farther back on the shelf. Oooh, ya, your beverage bill............Uh Dude, all I can say is maybe start saving now. Just sayin. Bob

It's supposed to be nice for the rest of the week... Too bad my bike's in the shop with coolant in the oil. At least I can steal my wife's bike to get my fix... Though I'm sure she'll want to ride it as well. |
