Vintage Motorcycle Show and Swapmeet Sunday, February 7th 9:00AM-5:00PM - Douglas County Fairgrounds, Lawrence The Santa Fe Trail Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club is holding this first time event featuring American, Asian, European, British and other motorcycles. The day will feature a bike show and swapmeet. All bikes will be at least 25 years old. Admission is $5 at the door with children under 12 free. John, havent forgot our wheels deal with Richie. He wants me to call him tomorrow now that he is back from cali testing with Eslick. We might get together at the track in daytona and talk about it more as well. he said he would bring them to me at the track but then id have to get them back to kansas on the plane LOL. Doesn't surprise me. Jeff goes all over the place during the winter season, mostly where the warm weather is cause he's a scrawny punk. Wish I was goin back to Daytona bike week this year, that was fun. | ||

Cool. LMK on the wheels. And you would be surprised how cheap it would be to bring those wheels with you on the plane. Usually its just an oversized box fee of like $100. Compared to shipping them its cheap. LOL •••••• thing is that the AMA only gets as close as Wisconsin. Unless they race in another race circuit. | ||

Walt Sipp will bring the wheels home from us.. since im pit crewing for him during the 200 race. Im meeting Richie at the track will buy our wheels from him there, hang with Elsick for alittle bit, as Richie is gonna sell me a pit crew shirt from last years championship and have them signed.. if you want one too tell me size and throw in another 50 bucks. Need to know before the 19th thats when they are taking off for daytona so he can throw them in the rig. | ||

Damn, the people at Topeka HD are super nice! I dropped my bike off there earlier today to get the 12k mile valve job done, and they were super helpful....kinda glad though, since theyre the last resort lol. | ||

went to the vintage bike hsow in lawrence and was impressed. there were some good rebuilds and some nice custom bikes. didnt get to take any pics coz i let my camera in the room. we were in and out in about 30 mins there really wasnt that much to see, but was still pretty sick. ive got a soft spot for vintage rides... | ||

Just found out today after talking with Richie Morris... If any of you would also like a team issue pit crew shirt from last year. Either Danny Eslick team "Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona Racing" (Championship team) or Mike Barnes "Geico Powersports" team shirt. Just get $50.00 dollars cash to me before the 18th. and tell me what size you want. May be limited on size since these are only team shirts..But let me know so i can tell him how many im picking up from him at the track in Daytona. These are the real Buell race day team shirts not the t-shirts. | ||

so im in new orleans and one of my rear wheel bearings just ate shit. i got a truck comming to take me the rest of the way to daytona. but if the local dealer ship doesnt have my bearings in stock i might be screwed. any info on this? ratfink, said that all buells use the same which is nice. and im hoping maybe the newer sportsters and maybe v-rods use the same bearings. | ||

Bruce Rossmeyers of Daytona is a huge Harley/ buell dealership.. its right off the highway on 95 heading to Daytona.. you cant miss it!! Stop in there and see if they have any thing. Im flying out this evening, ill be in Jacksonville Fl. tonight. Perhaps at the track on Monday. DAYTONA 200 is on! | ||

bike is at rossmeyers now, waiting to see what they say, the dude at the counter was acting kinda shady hinting he thought i would need a wheel! im pretty doubtful i managed to •••• up my the seat for the bearing or anything. oh well here i am at bikeweek with no bike! and they had a red and yellow firebolt that eric buell had signed the frame on. i thought that we were only wierdos gettin his autograph on our frames | ||

so they say 1500.00 for it all. i cant afford that. so im going to have to deal with it my self. im going to look at it more closely when i get it back. but they say it needs. a new swing arm, wheel, rotor, spacer, caliper, bolts, and bearings. i know it deff needs the rotor and bearing and the wheel does look messed up. as for the swing arm it looks like part of the race is crammed on it. if i can find it all il fix it up. | ||

found a xb9 that has been fightered out in fla for 2300.00 but i also went to buelster.com and found all ther parts i need for less then 500.00 i may even slurge and pay the extra 150 for a matching front wheel. im off to go wander around the awesomeness which is the shit going on at the speedway today. | ||
