Nope, it won't fit with just an 02 bung. S1 had over the frame headers and X1 had under the frame headers. |

over the frame headers work in late model tubers if I recall correctly. That's what I heard anyways. |

Spiderman is running over the frame headers on his late model m2. It "should" work |

It will work! You will just need to weld a bung in there to run the O2 sensor. You should be able to pick up a weldable bung from any hot rod shop... |

Kooks had an over and under configuration in their headers that are not compatible with the opposite frame configurations As for the header pictured…If you have the end cup that is detached, a competent muffler shop can repair it cheap |

With it being Stainless, can't you cut the ring off a stock header and weld it on that Kooks? |

The picture above is of a stock header missing the port cup. Kooks built “stepped” primaries that were a slip fit and reduced primary ID in a progression to the collector. They also had a slice of tubing that was welded to the primary to serve and the retainer for the spring clip. With that said, any header can be repaired as Kooks was built, with a slice of tubing welded to the primary inlet that accommodates the clip and retainer. By the way, stainless and mild steel can be mated and welded by either material. |

that are not compatible with the opposite frame configurations Wrong! An Over the frame tuber exhaust will fit all tubers. An Under the frame exhaust will only fit 99 and newer Tubers... For proof... That is a 2000 M2 frame with a KT exhaust |

Spidermon, said "That is a 2000 M2 frame with a KT exhaust" I think, actually know based on your own account, that is not a Kooks header....so you stand corrected!!! Focus...focus...what for it...D'oh!!!! Am I missing something??? ("i")don't think so!!! (Message edited by Rickie_d on January 28, 2010) |

Actually, there was a guy on here that swapped his old style kooks onto his newer s3. |

Well seeing as I have done a over the frame Kooks on a 99 an up tuber then I guess I stand corrected. If you would like to check my reference of Buell knowledge go ahead and ask around... |

Again...That the picture you posted, is not an over the frame Kook's on a 99 and up tuber; by your own account!!!! That in itself undermines whatever credibility you wish to impose on the audience, and I could give a shit about credentials that imply that I don’t see what you are saying. This is the internet dude, proof is parimount. I have actually held both headers in my hands (with published differences) and conversed with the dipshit that made them (junior)...what a doorstop that guy is. Post the pictures and (i) will help you understand what you actually used and did. |

Rickie, he did run a over the frame kooks on his 2000 m2. He's running a kt pipe on it now, hence that picture. I do agree on all accounts about jr though. |

and the picture of the pipe it came off a 2000 m2 so if 00 m2 and x1 pipes are compatable , this will fit correct , |

Dinuns1 - Absolutely not...There is no picture in the tread that illustrates a Kook’s header. |

I do not care where the pipe resides in your bedroom; why it is there, whether you sleep with, or your mom convinced you what you have...It is not Kook's. Fact: Kook's headers do not have butt welded joints as I pointed out earlier! Fact: Kook’s ego required that every header had a welded on badge stamped KOOKS! |

When you post a picture of the entire header showing the badge and the damage illustrated above, I might stand corrected. “im not sure where you got off thinking you know all buell” That is implied by you based on my posts… I don’t imply that I know everything about anything, I just don’t mouth off about what I think: just what I know!!! I think I just came up with a new quote…. Do not perpetuate what you “heard” to be true, or memorize what you “read” to be true, just convey what you “know” to be true. I think I will add that to my profile while search for the reason I should concede my point. Show me the pic!!!!!

Fact:Kook's ego required......... Sounds like Stalh,Hooker,AFCO ... That tag and 75 cents can get you a cup of coffee at a convenience store anywhere plus bragging rights a the local watering hole. |
