I am preparing a new 1125R for AHRMA, CMRA, & WERA roadracing. Engine has 150 miles with Race ECM and factory race kit pipe. Broke it in with the oil that came in it. I am thinking of using Mobil 1 V-Twin oil. Any issues with the clutch slipping? Any oil opinions or experiences from racing to share? |

Syn3, Motul 300V, and torco have all been used by the factory without any issues. No experience with Mobil-1 though. |

I was talking to Gearhead yesterday about oil. He ran Amsoil all last season (I believe without changing it as a test for our local rep) and then it was sent out for an oil analysis. The results were that the oil was still good. ...I'll let him explain it better. |

Like 99buellx1 said, I've run AMSOIL the last three seasons in my XB12R racebike and have had great results. My dealer asked me to run the oil a little longer, five full CCS sprint race weekends, so he could have it independently tested, especially for viscosity shear back, wear metals and oxidation. Yes, I was a little nervous about leaving it in that long! I’m not an oil expert but the results came back for the 20w-50 with a viscosity of 18.8cST. The range for 50W oil is 16.3 - 21.9. Oxidation and wear metals were next to nothing. This oil was still good enough to run for quite a while longer. I’m very satisfied with their products but I will probably change oil a little more often this season anyway!! www.racingwithralph.blogspot.com |

Guess amsoil isn't all hype. Cool to hear the real world results. |

Amsoil here. Ran 7 race weekends, consisting of one 20 lapper and two 8 lap sprints each weekend. Changed the oil at mid season. No issues to report. Oil still appeared to be in good condition. Won 2 Regional Class Champsionships along the way! |
