The rim stripes are neon orange from tapeworks.com. It just takes patience to get them on. They have been on since August 2002 and are holding up well. |

Sent the little parts out for powder coating today. Midnight Blue Laser Metallic for the small parts (signals, axle adjusters, rear pulley, headlight and taillight brackets, swingarm support, dash and bar mounts, upper tree) and plain black for the Swingarm (2001 style) and mounting block. Did you ever het halfway in and seriously wonder if you can put it back together? Jadow, thanks for your help with the speedo-thingy. I'll post "after" pictures in two weeks when I get the parts back.

Looking good Ben. Ever consider mounting a small tank and small tail section for the track? I can help you with the tank part. It's even black. The slimmer tank changes the whole character of the bike. |

Its actually a 2002 Durango R/T. Wife said no to the pickup. I burnt the tranny out of my 4-Runner pulling the bikes up to Deal's Gap last year so I bought something that could pull the two Buells with out a problem. Wont' miss the gap this year. Love the truck! I'm down south in Charleston but head to the Mountains north of Ashville whenever I get the chance. |

I had a 99 Dakota R/T regular cab myself. Pretty cool little truck. I also had one of the first generation Lightnings. It was a nice truck also.

If you like the RT's check this site out. www.krcperformance. I had a 2001 RT I put their fuel injection on and it sure woke it up. It worked as they said it would and went on easy. About 30 mins. Their #1-321-635-8866. Throttle Body, I was wanting to say carb. |

Some pictures of Bikes at the HD/Buell of Glendale barbeque today. Tim's Racebike, and a mongrel turbo bike, anyone care to guess what it really is? James |

Blake, thanks. Smaller tank would be nice, but funding is an issue. Reserve funds for entry fees, school, tires, etc. What I'd like to do is modify the existing tail section to make it a "solo tail", following the lines of the original bodywork, sort of 998-monoposto-ish. No time for that one, though. Like the rearsets? Thanks. Made at Ben's Tool & Machine (hacksaw, drill, files) Ben |

Hey Misato- I saw on your profile that you drilled holes in your muffler. Where did you drill the holes and what size bit did you use? How much did it help out the sound? Thanx....Jason |

Yeah lights came from trojan horse. I cut my carbon fiber flyscreen to fit, and used snaps to hold it on. (my tool bag is behind it) Snaps never came undone. Also made up my own mounting hardware for the flyscreen. (actually I cut and bet the stock hardware.) I tried to use the little hindged flytrap thing, but wouldn't work with the new headlights. I also fabed up a piece of polished aluminum between the headlights..as there was a small triangle that looked off (the aluminum is just glued to the fly screen) Glad you guys like it. Later Jay |

jason, I used about a 1/2, maybe a little smaller 3/8?. just drill in front of the inner pipe but inside the "shinny pipe". you cant see it and it sounds much better than stock. I'm still saving for the nallin/force setup |

Pretty truck, Bigfan. I've got a '02 Ram Quad Cab, traded in the old Dakota for it. I'd kill for one of the new SRT/10's, but I'm not willing to spend that kind on money on a pickup...if I want to go fast I'll ride the 'bolt! Bryan |

Thanks, Bryan. It was fun for awhile, till Ford came out with the new Lightning and made the R/T's look kinda silly. I've progressed to a Ford F250 Diesel now and I think I'll quit the "buy a new truck every year or so and lose your butt" thing. Chris |

The problem with the R/Ts was the tranny...with a nice 5 or 6 speed manual and the Lightning Smoker kit they would do just what the damned thing says. ...and the SRT/10s make the Lightnings look ridiculous, even the show only supercharged one that supposedly made 500hp. The SRTs make that much normally aspirated...hehe...plus I've always hated everything about Ford trucks. And cars. And pretty much everything else. And I do wiring mainly for them. Joy. Bryan |
