I have completed a 90inch build on the motor thanks to Terry @ JT&S and Revolution Performance Body work comes from Shawn HIgbee's FX bike HELP:::: I need spacers and brake bracket for the HALS swingarm since I cant get parts from them.... Even If I can get measurements and pictures would work so I can get made. I know what axle and adjustors I need to get

You have my email. I'll go out and measure the spacers and anything else I think might help. At least the spacers are simple lathe projects. Life is BUSY this week - if you haven't heard from me in next couple days - PM me and I'll get off my butt. |

Slaughter, I may be contacting you about this. I called hals and the can't/dont want to help me....LOL Walt mention that it is a stock S1 part but I dont know and makes me wonder why hals would have made the part and not buy. I have a 96 S1 and will take it apart and look into it. Buellrcr I may get with you on this but not yet, I need to get a few more things (oil lines and the swingarm delema /chain and spockets. After that I need to upgrade that to penske so I will keep you in mind maybe shoot me a PM with a pic and price. |

Do you have the racing oil cooler? I'm mounting mine (finally after a few years) - but if you don't have it, you can re-route the oil likes and put the stock cooler into that cooler duct. |

I gotta remember to bring home my calipers this weekend. I have been wanting to make a second set of spacers for my other wheels so I don't have to keep swapping them out (I know I'm gonna lose one sometime and then I'm truly screwed) Let's stay in touch. I've got a lot going on trying to finish the engine work so I can race in Feb - but I really DO have to make another set of spacers and if I am setting up to do one set, I may as well make a couple sets. Don't wanna lie to you though - it'll be a lower priority for me than just finishing the engine and hitting the dyno for break-in. |

I'll see if I can get some pics of the brake adapters. It was far better than the Conrath design - but involved more welding and fabricating. |

So what's up with Hals? Did they get out of the racing business? I tried to get spacers from them even before Buell died. They had discontinued the swing arm because Buell now made a better one. I understand that but it is kind of rude not to support what you have sold. I got mine from a team that had switched from the XB to the 1125. You might try the same like RMR or Higbee, etc. |

It's not "what's up with Hal's" - they haven't made them for YEARS - why stock custom parts for something like this? I don't hold it against them. If you're willing to pay Hal's for a setup and one-time lathe project on two bushings, those spacers are going to set you back AT LEAST $100. You can't expect them to keep stocking these for the dozen or so of us who keep using their swingarms. You could go to any machine shop and have them lathe-turned for you. I'll post the measurements up here - there's nothing proprietary about them (I just have to get into the shop here and MEASURE them) |

Found a few good items not seen before and you can upgrade the oil cooler , a place in maryland sells a unit thats bigger , stronger and fits into the air scoop you have now. i sent you a PM give me a ring . Happy to help fellow Buell racer . Jake |

Ps Taking a second look at the posts if anyone needs info on cooling the Xb motor , my email is ends@comcast.net ill send you the info on the radiator . Also JEGS makes a analog head temp gauge for air cooled motors only 70$ well worth knowing what temp that rear cylinder is running at all times . Jake |

Hey, Lucas, I could sell you one set of my rear wheel spacers. Email me or PM me. Didn't get you a picture of my brake bracket, but it looks like you might have a hook up? And if anyone's looking for another Hal's swingarm set up and some bodywork, I'd like to move mine. And a 24ft trailer... (Message edited by SD26 on January 26, 2010) |

I've got dimensions for the Hals Swingarm spacers... Here's some PDFs with dimension of the parts. Or you can download everything(PDF, DWG, STEP, IGES, and Parasolid files) here: I've zipped up a bunch of files(both 3D and 2D), you can retrieve them here: http://cid-f8173b745d8dd3e6.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/Hals%20Swingarm%20Spacer/Hals%20Swingarm%20Spacers.zip Just click on the zip folder icon to download. |

thanks alot Steve. I got a S1 brake bracket and it will work with some modification. I need to see a hals bracket to see how it works or not. Also I talked to Rich Conrath and he still has spacers and brackets from his swingarm setup. He is suppose to send me some so I can try out if his works as well. He is not sure. Thanks buell2001b I worked so hard to get there and got alot of coins invested in that bad boy. |

Steve - you da MAN! I have just JUST got the motor turning over after the rebuild just yesterday and haven't pulled the rear to measure up the bushings. You're awesome... now it's out to the shop and see if I can turn a couple. I've lived in terror of losing one of them and this'll get me squared away. |
