Hey guys, Plans apparently changed a bit. Something about registration being later than we thought, so the scheduling department has moved the meeting time to 8:30 in favor of a bit more sleep. Is anyone out there looking for a good Buell? I have a 99 X-1 Lightning. I just don't ride enough...not to mention the expense of two college age kids. It has 8200 miles and I'm the second owner. Bought it with < 280 miles. Other than the Vance & Hines exhaust and Banke rear set controls it is stock. I've got the factory stuff if you want to change it back. A good deal on a house in the Woodlands?!? Over here in Chateau Woods they're selling prefab shoeboxes for $120k and driving up our property taxes. Bastards. On another note, related in that it will be causing a negative cash flow situation in my wallet, Cycle Gear opened a store just south of Edgebrook on 45 S. and is opening another near Gunspoint shortly. I stopped by the one down south today and they had a hell of a deal on Frank Thomas 1 and 2 pc. race suits. $299. Unfortunately they didn't have anything bigger than a 46 or I'd be sitting here in one right now  I didn't know it at the time, but apparently everything in the store is 20% off, including the Alpinestars SMX Plus boots. I'll be making another trip down there tomorrow to grab a pair, sz. 48, thank you  | ||

Nope, I'm renting. I moved closer to work. No more 60 miles through downtown commute for me. I don't even ride to work anymore. Takes longer to warm up the bike than it takes to get there. | ||

Its good to be back on the road again. Still some cosmetic things to take care of but as long as it runs who cares what it looks like  Not sure what archers going to do, I know he really wants his two wheels back though. I think we all want that for him! I have pics of the new dash panel on a digital camera but have no idea how to upload them. soon. Hoot you on this side of town now?? I met some guys on x1s that are doing really good sheet metal work for our bikes. They're tailsection trunk pice is killer!! let me know if your interested. Not sure of a price yet. | ||

I'm still trying to get money out of the insurance company for anybody that was wondering where i disappeared to. I am working on a new set of wheels as we speak but it is slow going. Anyone feel like hitting the street meet tomorrow? Assuming the guy shows up and I can throw the street plastic on fast enough I'll have my new toy down there. Rob said he ran into a few of y'all last weekend. I was out at TWS trying to pick up my new bike, but things didn't work out and I didn't get back in time to get down there. | ||
