Can anyone post some pictures please? Especially,..how do the wires get routed underneath.

I am trying to decide which one to get,..Evotech or the Jardine.

They both look clean from back and sides, trying to find out how clean the wiring looks.

thanks a bunch

Besides all the gunk from Sunday's ride, the wiring with the Evotech is clean:

I installed the Jardine (pic attached). But I do like the looks of that Evotech!

i like the jardine over the votech for the price.. 100.00+ to move the plate i a bit ridiculous..

Even better than the jardine is my homemade setup, it was only 30.00 which was probably still too much...

Evotech might be nice, but IMO it isn't 100.00 nice

They are both about the same if you look at the total picture. The Evotech comes with the plate light. Jardine charges an additional $25 for the light kit bringing the total to $93.

Six to a half dozen IMO.

Don't forget that patience and Ebay can be your friend when looking for these items. Either one looks good to me.

You dont need the light kit, just drill a hole in the bottom of the tail light..thatss what i and many others have done on here, works GREAT!! and its WAY cheaper ; )

Evotech is very nicely made unit.

Parts for our bikes (and bikes in general) are very specialized and made in very small production runs (sometimes one at a time)--add profit for the manufacturer. It's an expense proposition to accessorize any bike.

Are you kidding?? You mean these manufacturers expect to make a PROFIT on their wares? The NERVE!!

I like the way my Jardine install came out. As you can see in the pic I posted earlier, I cut out the underside to let the white light (already there on 08-09 models) shine through, so that costs me $0.

Truth be known, I was just going to drill a couple of holes, but when I saw I had actually cracked it a bit towards the rearmost outside edge, out came the dremel! Turned out nicer that way IMO.

Installed the fender eliminator today. It looks great and was easy to do. My hubby did the same thing and drilled a couple of holes below the tail light so the plate would be illuminated. Cost 67.50 with delivery charges.

Looks great Julie! Now, I suppose it's time to get some more miles on that thing.

Yes, it's the one off my Scg which has the hero blue plastics on it. I was thinking of making it white but I think I like the cherry bomb. Now to put to red wheels on it. That will have to wait until the stock tires are worn out. A few days on the track should do that. : )

Definitely need to get more miles, I'm just over 500 now.

Julie, noticed you didn't use the original grommets to run the wires back through the outer holes. I almost didn't myself ... Definitely a tight squeeze. But then I would be wondering if any water/gunk was getting up in that area, so I went with the grommets.

Mike, we cut some weather strip that was sticky on one side and covered the holes from the inside. We also put the weather stripping along the outer edge of the eliminator to help keep gunk out.

Gunk, not a fan! I see you've got just over 500 miles on yours. Mine's at 800. I put that on in just a few weeks, but it's been parked in the garage for the last month and a half or so. Come on sunshine!!

Darkitekt - I'm confused how to route the cables with the Evotech. It seems like anyway I do them, the seem to be getting pinched from the cover plate. Could you take another picture better showing where you routed your cables? Thanks!

Nevermind. I think I was just wrenching down on the cover plate too much.
