Is that still happening? Shoot, I thought it was cancelled or somethin'. Ah well.. For the folks who don't head down that way, the Glendale supermegigantic BRAG BBQ, bike show, sale thingie is Saturday. Hope to see many Buells there - can't let Tim walk away with the show trophy without a fight. Sunday brings us the CCS races at the Streets of Willow. Tim, Candice, Steve, Pat, and myself are going to be there for sure, so any one else who wants to ride out or meet us there speak up!

Info on the HHOH ride courtesy of Barbara Beauchamp, So Calif BRAG VIP: "We invite you to join us on Sunday, June 1, for a ride to Lake Cuyamaca (does Engineers Road call your name?). We will meet at Harley's House of Harleys, 1555 S. Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA at 9:00 and depart around 9:30 for a ride of about 136 miles with a planned gas stop. The ride will end in Santa Ysabel. While a lunch stop is not planned, there are several places to eat in Julian as well as the one in Santa Ysabel. The route is attached." Is that a Kool Map or what! These guys are organized. Sparky |

We'll be at Glendale when they open setting up the BBQ and making ready. Tim, Chris and Ernie will have their race bikes there and a bunch of the rest of us will be just plain hanging around (and flipping burgers) Cool, I get to update my resume after this? |

Well, the ride out of Oceanside was great. Jerry's Yamaha tried to eat it's exhaust, so he had to bail out early. All in all it was fun, De Luz was great with all the water crossings (6 by my count), and Engineers Road was my sort of road. I'll have to go down to that area again to ride Palomar. How was the CCS race? James |

CCS Races were fun but the heat was KILLER! Laps are incredible in superbike classes - consistent 1:23 in the front of the pack. This was on the Streets, not the big track. The Porsches were tying up all that valuable real estate. |

James, The BBQ, Bake-sale, sidewalk sale, Miss HD, the music... all was good! We really have to give a hand to the HOG chapter for helping us put that BBQ on! They let Candice and Tim in on all the do's and dont's and traps to watch out for and it all came off without a hitch (well... except for running out of food and drinks) Next one's gonna be a HOOT! (note, I did NOT say "Blast?") |

I need to ride down to San Diego from the San Fernando Valley this weekend. I'm looking for a good route down there but everything I've found involves a significant trek eastward first. Are there any good roads I can look forward to or should I write it off and slab it? -Saro |

Saro, Check out the route descriptions at the Pashnit website: http://www.pashnit.com/motoroads.htm San Diego is out of my area of expertise! |

Anybody want to hit Laguna Seca? Anybody want to hit a Buell dinner in Monterey? Vallejo Buell/HD is picking up the slack after Buell sorta dropped the ball on sponsoring it this year. Looks like they are doing the organzing. Details haven't yet been worked out. Tim and Candice are going to try to coordinate things from this end. No reservations are made yet but there are the beginnings of discussions starting on Sacborg. I think it'd be cool to make it a big Sat afternoon/evening happening. Slaughter |

Steve- The Pashnit site is great - but the roads listed all require the aforementioned eastward trek to do anything SD bound. A Laguna Seca thing would be great. It would be great if we can get a bunch of us up there! -Saro |

James, I thought I had posted something... Vallejo HD is apparently already well into setting something up. Read it on SACBORG. Gonna have them talking to Candice. See where it goes. Buell kinda dropped out of sight this year at Laguna because of the new dealer happenings immediately following the race weekend - or something like that. I'll post here when/if I find anything out. Laguna attendees: Candice is sort of heading up the Laguna Seca "thing" on this (LA) end. We are waiting to hear back from Vallejo HD/Buell. If you really think you might be going, give her a ping. |

Any Socal folks continuing on to SPLASH besides us? Ferris, you out there? You've been mighty quiet of late. Al |

Candice and Tim were talking about possibly heading down to Cannery Row early Sat evening and trying to park all the bikes close-in. Sounds like the Vallejo/Sacborg/American Sport BikeN folks are hitting Tarpys and they have only about 32 seats available (about 20 are spoken for already). Tarpys is farther up off Cannery Row. Too bad that Buell took themselves out of the loop this time. Kinda last minute we are all talking about putting something together. Kick it to Tim and Candice, they will start taking names. How the F*CK do I turn off the frigging auto-keyword URL thing. I de-selected the "Automatically activate URLs in message" and still got a dumbass American Sport Bike N instead of "American Sport BikeN". WTF - is this a MAC?? Trying too hard to be helpful. Anyways, using quotation marks this time: groups are Vallejo HD and "American Sport BikeN" I give up. Just previewed this post and the POS did it again. HOW THE F#CK do I turn the unnecessary "feature" OFF??? Gawdammit Here, I'll try separating letters with a space: A S B N F*CK - FINALLY! American Sport Bike Night is a group up in No CA. BRAG riders, A June 22 Buell ride was proposed at the April SCAB mtg. The plan was to invite San Diego, Oceanside & Glendale BRAG riders to meet in Beaumont for a Big Bear ride. Nelson and Barbara of So Cal BRAG are coordinating this ride between the 3 chapters and are looking for a show of interest. I mentioned it to Tim and Candy but completely forgot to follow up since. What's Golden State doing for the June ride? Sparky |
