Hi guys, I'm pretty new here and I've been talking to some of you about picking up a bike. Last week I finally went to Toledo and picked up an 07 STT with 375 miles. I have wanted a Buell for a few years now and this one was a pretty good deal. I had a great experience at Toledo HD and would recommend them to others. Here are some pictures: (and don't mind the mess in the garage, it's my room mate, I swear! ) nick.jpg IMG_0868.jpg IMG_0870.jpg IMG_0871.jpg Also I'm sure you guys are used to this by now, but coming from riding a Kawasaki 4 cylinder last year I wasn't ready for the noise this thing makes: Buell_1.mp3 I imagine this is what god's motorcycle would sound like. One of my best friends has a Mustang with $6,000 worth of engine work and it doesn't sound this good. Anyway I look forward to riding the hell out of this thing and learning about all things Buell from this forum. Anybody here from Oakland county, MI? -Nick |

Clean your room. It may be OK for you, but, think of her. |

good call. if they hadn't come out with the xt, the tt would have been on the shortlist. |

Great ride guy! I have a '07 and love it. Buy a set of Dark Horse axle slider, just in case. |

Welcome to Badweb Nick. My hubby as a TT and he really likes it. Now he's getting use to riding the CR. Enjoy many miles on her. |

Nice bike! BTW- for anyone else looking for one, according to the Buell locator at buell.com, the dealer here in Charleston still has an 07XB12STT in stock. |

The first time I saw an STT I thought it looked a little odd. But after shopping for a month for XB's and starting at tons of images of them, I really came to think they're great looking - it was on my short list. I still think I'd take the number plates off, but even those have grown on me. In any case - congrats, that's a beautiful bike! |

Thanks guys! I wasn't sure about the looks of the STT at first either but they definitely grew on me. I really like the solid white but I may take off the number plates or come up with a design to paint on. haha and yes, every time I go out to the garage and stare at it, that grin on my face comes right back. Spring can't come soon enough! Is there anything I should look at as far as general maintenance before spring comes? I read in another post something about wiring harnesses on 07 models. Any known issues I should address or prevent? I'll take a look through the tech forums and all that as well. thanks guys and this really is a cool community! |

yeah, if you're so inclined, make sure the wiring harness isn't rubbing on anything under the seat. (it is) and heavily wrap it with hockey tape and even silicone it in place where it bends around metal. this will save $ and headaches in the long run. maybe put some stabil in the fuel and run it for a few minutes. that's all that comes to mind right away. |
