OK People I am wondering about manuals for my '09 Uly. What manuals do you suggest I grab? Part numbers would be appreciated. I like to do my own service, however since my bike is new I don't want to void the warranty by saving a few dollars and doing my own services. So with that statement what kind of service can I do myself without having issues with the dealer in the event I ever need warranty work done. |

2009 XB Models Service Manual: 99490-09Y 2009 XB Models Electrical Diagnostics Manual: 99493-09Y 2009 XB Models Parts Catalog: 99574-09Y I don't believe that doing your own service should void the warranty. |

1. Use approved materials (i.e. fluids/filters/gaskets) 2. Follow the factory schedule 3. Keep good records of the above (receipts for parts, write in mileage, etc). You should have gotten a white pamphlet with your owners manual called the Technical Literature List. That has part numbers and prices for EVERY manual - parts, service, and electrical as well as owners manual replacements - for every Buell and HD built since 1957. |

I even save the receipts from buying oil at the dealer and write the mileage and date when installed. |

What's in the electric diagnostics manual? I bought the service manual and parts manual, but I didn't know about the third. |

Electrical manual has schematics and diagnostic procedures. Mechanical problems are usually obvious, but chasing down errant electrons gets a lot easier with the electrical manual. Just get it, IMHO. |
