I'm with you Hogzilla. I bought my Buell on 12/15 and rode it home from McHenry HD in 15 deg weather. If it weren't for all the crud on the streets, I'd still be riding. BRING ON SPRING!! | ||

No kidding Skratch, bring on SPRING! At least the motorcycle show at Rosemont in Feb. will scratch the itch a little. Mine is going to be delivered to the house on Thursday so I longingly look at it every morning as I walk past it in the garage. | ||

My Hubby and I finally got out this past Sunday. Took the XB's out cause the CR's are still in the basement and too much snow to get them up to the front of the house. It's suppose to be nice again this weekend so we're planning on getting out again. It's tough being a Buellaholic.  Spring can't get here soon enough | ||

Yeah Hog I'll probably be heading to it as well. But that will only make me yearn to ride that much more. I'm a closet smoker and I only smoke in the garage at home. So there are plenty of opportunities to stare. Every time I walk out to the garage Damien (thats his name - lol) screams...RIDE ME RIDE ME!!! I finally had to put a cover on it to make it easier on my eyes!! HAHAHA | ||

Blackhawk? Yeah, would like to give it a shot one of these days. I may take this year as a "getting to know you" year. LOL I had an SV650 so I sorta know what I'm getting myself into, but this will be a whole new experience. Hate to dump it. Might have a hard time convincing the wife it's a good idea to keep. I may have to go up there for a watch and learn. | ||

Thats what I was thinking as well. I've got an 09 Ultra and a 05 1200 sporty. Its been a while since I've been on a sport bike and I know its going to take a while to get used to this kind of ride again. But maybe in a year or so I might think about it. But I'm with you. I'd hate to dump it. But damn...it would be fun to give it a shot!! | ||

we finally got the CR's out today. Was in the high 50's. Had her up to 108mph. This bike is going to be FUN. (just wish I could touch the ground with both feet - stopping at lights is kinda scary) | ||

I got to ride mine on 12/15 (the day I bought it) and rode it approx. 6 miles home. So it has less than 15 miles on it and I'm really chomping at the bit to get out on it. | ||

I keep talking to the wife and see keeps saying the same thing, just stop talking about it. I haven't gotten to ride the new girl (unnamed) since I got her. I figure if I  maybe just maybe I will knock myself out till spring and will not keep staring at it in the garage to also go out to smoke. | ||

Rode over 100 miles today!! Now have 320 miles on the clock and boy does it feel good to rev it to 7500!!! Holy smokes. The exhaust note only gets better ... can't wait to get a pipe on there. | ||

Jeepin, I remember that first rev to 7,500 when I passed 300 miles. That 6K - 7.5K is a sweet spot for these things. The next leap to 10.5K at 600 miles ... Take a change of pants for that ride! Mike | ||

I was buggin' also with the 55 degree weather here Saturday...I changed the oil, checked the coolant, put on the K&N...then took it for a ride...thawing snow made for a dirty ride...Next warm day the HMF goes on!  (Message edited by Tbones1125r on January 17, 2010) |
