I just bought a the top and side case setup off ebay and to my dismay it did not come with any of the mounting brackets. Is this something I can buy seperatly from the dealer or elsewhere. Not sure why the guy sold the cases and kept the mounting hardware. Regardless I have a set of pristine cases and no way to mount them.. Ideas? |

Hepco-Becker does NOT sell the Buell mounts seperately. You need to either find them used, or get them from a Buell dealer. Send me an email at jgoetz@hdoffrederick.com if you need a parts list, I think I have a .pdf around here somewhere I can send you.... |

If you bought the outdoorsman bags, I posted all the part numbers here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/528539.html?1263306758 I can get the journey part numbers if you need them, but it won't be right away. |

I ended up with a cosmetically well used but still mechanically right set of the Journey side bags and the hardware...but no bolts. The previous owner used nuts and bolts from the hardware store. Not wanting less-than-perfect bolts for my new to me 09 ULY I ordered them from Latus...$94. Incredible but thought that there must be something special so went for it. Next time...go to the hardware store. |

I was hearing a squeaking/screeching sound at idle. Thought initially it was coming from the primary chain area. After a thorough check, I discovered one of the factory bolts that screws into the seat pan area had sheared off causing the bag bracket to move freely and scrape. Had to use an easyout to remove what was left. Strange, considering I use the bags only to store my riding gear in when I'm at work. I can't recall ever carrying anything heavy and the bags are typically empty when I'm on the road. In any case, bought a new bolt at Home Depot and all is well. Can't be any worse than the factory one ($4.00 ouch!). |
