Abrams bag arrived today. It is big, but usefully so. The only thing is I will have to trim the front airbox-protection pad so it doesn't block the air intake near the fuel cap. Good thing my mother taught me to use a sewing machine years ago..... just not sure how good I'll be at sewing a new edging on! I would slide the bag back and away from the intake/gas cap area, but I'm pretty sure it would be too far back to be comfortable, and the back strap connectors wouldn't be in a good, accessible location. Otherwise, a good-looking, solid feeling bag for not a lot of $. |

I bought this one. http://www.rka-luggage.com/A02%20Tankbags/853%20Bu ild%20sheet/853%20Build%20Sheet.html I like the fit and the small size. I can put gas in it without removing the bag. I had a Buell bag on my XB12R. The problem with big bags on the Buell that use the air box screws for an attachment point is the bag will lean off to the side. A big bag puts the map too close to my face to read easily. Also, I don't like my bike top heavy. Using a continuous front strap will give you a bit more side support but what I like better is to use velcro on the side of the frame. This gives the best support. |

I mounted my Rapid Transit bag on my uly today. I attached the rear straps to the frame above the fan, posterior to the air box. Now I am concerned about the straps melting as they are just above the head. Has anyone else mounted their rear straps here and had any problems? |

I just mounted mine the same way, but haven't ridden it yet! I doubt it'll be a problem, and if so, nylon webbing is cheap! |

I like the Buell factory accessory tank bag quite a bit.

This is the way I mounted the RKA bag. I hate using the airbox screws because the bag will lean off to one side. To get more side support I used velcro attached to the front of the frame. This is a very secure support system. BTW, this bag is made in the USA just like the bike.
