Could this also be an HD plot to turn Buellers against each other?    I hope not... I started the thread to get a feel for actual HD support, or lack of. Anger at fellow riders was not my intent, either. Merely a frustrating situation and a chance to vent. Some incredibly cool people have stepped forward to help out- which is why we all hang out with this crowd anyway, isn't it? As it stands, my wait on a belt may turn into a new Uly. Standing by to see how it plays! | ||

"New" ETA for the ETS to come off backorder is now Feb 5th. Only the 5th new ETA I've heard.  | ||

No. Only because the dealer is working on it, not me. They have already replaced my intake seals (for free) because THAT didn't solve the problem. I almost expect that the ETS will not be the problem either, as it was replaced 6 months ago. | ||

WHOOO-HOOO, I just called my dealer and they said my belt came in and is on the bike. They are going to clean it up and put it on the dyno and run it to check it out. I can pick it up tomorrow or they will deliver it, my call. Our ice storm is starting here but is supposed to be cleared up by the afternoon. If they are going to clean it up I may avoid the salt and let them bring "HER" home. (my wife calls it HER) Did everyones belts come in? | ||

I see Al shipped mine also wonderful belt rear wheel bearing and spark plugs and air filter .I hope i get as much fun out them as the old one gave me 10,000 mile same belt same rear wheel bearing same plugs what a good bike ....I will have the old belt now as a spare...feel good | ||

Belt in hand!!! Unfortunately, though the sun is shining (literally and figuratively), I need to get to work- so no time to install. Bike will be back on the road tomorrow morning, though! Now what the heck does one do with the broken belt??? Thanks again to all who offered assistance! | ||

My ETS was located by my dealer but my bike is still not fixed. Been in the shop on and off Oct 16th with a "Vapor lock" problem. After it sits and "Heat sinks" it will not restart. The dealer has replaced the following-ECM,Coils,Piston,rings,cylinders,Ets,Cam sensor?, and I cannot remember anymore. and the problem is still there. They just ordered a fuel pump.That is what I think it is but who knows. I am EXTREMELY discouraged! I pretty much wrote off my bike! Even though I owe much more than it is worth!  | ||

The 2010 fuel pumps are different, it is more resistant to vapor lock. By any chance are you using an aftermarket right side scoop? | ||

Steve, Sorry about you problems, from what i see your dealer has been throwing part at it instead of doing any diagnostics Is there any other threads covering your issues. One of the reasons the bikes didn't come with a large RSS like many aftermarket ones is because they can cause vaporlock. The 2010 scoop on the other hand is a 2 piece system that doesn't stall cooling to the fuel rails. | ||

A Buell engineer posted about it a few years back. Also I recall a section of Fuell magazine talking about it. I am pretty sure thats what caused the discussion on here. |
