I went to Blue Springs HD,Worth Store, showed the my letter about the knee puck offer.Talked to Dave the owner about test riding a XB9R,told him I have a M2 that I ride and I really wasnt planning on buying a XB,but wanted the knee pucks. We went to his office and he promptly gave me a pair. The Worth stores are set in their high markup, but the parts guys at this store have always helped me out.The service dept. manager replaced my shock, which they didnt have to do.Every once in a while there seems to be a glimmer of hope! |

The fine folks at Glendale Buell took out their two demo bikes (XB9S low, and XB9R) on our BRAG ride this past Sunday, and gave everyone a chance to ride em around. I know that they gave quite a few rides to non-Brag members that were asking about all the Buells at one of our stops (Newcombs Ranch). Us BRAG members also got to ride em around. I got to ride a 10-mile loop with Ernie, the salesman and all-around good guy. I started out on the XB9Slow and half way through I switched to the XB9R. I totally dug the XB9R, I think that I'll eventually get one. I was a little dissappointed with the XB9Slow. It felt smaller than my Blast, and I didn't feel like I could move around as much. It kinda felt like a Blast with more power and brakes. Maybe it was because it is a low model. Either which way, everyone who test rode got a certificate. I should have some pucks in 3-4 weeks. Thanks Buell, Thanks Glendale (Matty and Ernie) James |

I had a 1998 S1W that I put 31k miles on in spite of numerous problems and a dealer that blows. The service tech was great but the service writers, and service mgr and some of the parts people are simpley incompetant. This is why. They do not care about Buells. Someone in the dealership, the owner decided that they should carry Buells and they did. They do not care about Buells or Buell riders because they do not need to or have to. If making us happy customers depended on whether they had food on their tables or a roof over their heads it would be different. It is not. They have had it so easy for so long they are conditioned not to care. Creating a list of bad dealers is fine but it will not change a thing. This is what I would suggest. Create a points system. If a customer complaines in writing you get a point. Or send them a dealership satisfaction card with specifics. When a dealership accumulates a number of points, say 50, they are put on suspension. If they continue to get points, their Buell dealership is pulled. They are after all doing more harm than good, much more harm. I had a lot of problems with my bike, but my dealerships attitude is the reason I sold it, in the end. Toward the end of my ownership I had become my own parts dept, sourcing parts for my dealership, not my job. I had resolved my own warranty problem, also not my job. I had become my own mechanic out of necessatity (sp?), also not my job. This attitude of the dealerships really twists me up. I have never been treated with such disdain or even contempt and this from someone I was spending money with! My dealer, Bumpas HD/Buell of Memphis is mentoned with a photo in HD stock holders book as being one of three family owned dealerships. So, they are special. |

Just a question, what letter are you guys talking about that explains the puck promotion?? I only found out from the website. It seems that is what you guys are using to get the dealers to honor the promotion. Where can I get a letter from do you request it from buell.com some where? It sounds like I may be screwed with out it. |

Fus, When I did my demo ride, they provided a certificate with a dealer number and "serial number" on the cert. I then registered it on Buell's web site. Not much more than that. Brad |

Blu- I see. I am wondering if any dealers around here even have any of the new bikes to demo! Dave- actually I asked Frank the other night at our meeting if they were holding the promo and he told me no. Well I asked if they had any of the new bikes to demo for the promo and he said no, so I am assuming they won't be holding the promo. Sounds like they may not be that far into it yet not sure..? I need to get out there I havn't been to Central HD in at least a year! I will find out! |

Fuscat... the local Worth dealerships are requiring you fill out a credit application and submit it for approval before you can test ride a XB. the north store actually told me that after I signed the deal on the XB, have the credit approved and pick the bike I will take delivery of, they set up a "course" to ride and I would get the puck certificate. In the KC area... the best chance of an actual ride at a Worth HD would most likely be Blue Springs HD... but I think they also want a credit app completed and approved... a crappy way to promote Buells!!! Dave fixed me up... Thanks Dave! |

I seem to have goofed when it came to this one.. I'd forgotten about the promotion when I pulled into my closest Buell dealer and was told that they couldn't let me do the test ride/puck give away since I was on an XB9R already.. SO I'm gonna drive the cage to ANOTHER dealer and go for a ride.. Uh.. Do the pucks come in any other color besides yellow? The wife worries about my color coordination skills.. and as you can tell.. yellow really isn't in my color scheme.. |

i rode over to mancuso h-d on loop 610 today and showed the letter from buell i found under a pile of bills and junk on my desk to the sales manager. he said i was the first person to come in for the promotion! rode a firebolt and liked it except my left knee does'nt like to bend that far. besides the cool pucks i received 3 boxes of buell matches, 6 blast coffee cup insulators, a blast key chain, 4 blast postcards and 3 computer monitor dress up flame sticker kits. dude said he could'nt give the stuff away! on top of that they were grilling hotdogs [ate 2] and chips and had a dr. pepper all on the house. except for the stares from the rubs and knuckledraggers because i was the only one around with a helmet and mesh armour jacket it was a great experience! |
