Hmm, my belt is pretty loose I guess, I can move it about an inch on the upper part of the belt.

It's been like that for a while, everything else looks good on it.

Holy Crap you mean! Good job Tom! I'm assuming that's the Uly belt dims? How about the pitch?

Read the description carefully: 1 1/8" belts are for "show only and not intended to replace OEM belt". This is great if you are just using the bike for a display!

I read that to mean "in place of" an original 1.5" belt, maybe wishful thinking on my part. The Gates/S&S belt looks promising though. Possible alternatives in any case.

As did I.

Pitch is 14MM
Tooth count is 135
Width measured on my Uly's belt 29MM

Duhh me...

You must have gotten an international belt on your Uly Teeps, mine measures 1 1/8".

I really want this to pan out. In "the other thread" the subject of Buell riders touring and getting stranded for lack of an available belt came up. It'd be nice to know we could hit a local Tucker Rocky shop and get an alternative overnight or so, just to get home.

I wonder who could be the hero and try one of these alternatives, I would but I'm flat busted right now...

I was tempted to order one, but I don't see any in 1125r or CR tooth counts. I am not sure what my Blast would need either.

Still a little hazy on your interpretations. The older HD baggers used a 1 1/2" wide drive belt that was, I think kevlar, and was replaced with a stronger 1 1/8" wide carbon fiber based belt, when they started going to the wider (150 series) tires. I believe this is what the 1 1/2 & 1 1/8 is referring to if one was contemplating a swap to a wider tire on a bagger.
