So I've finally joined the 21st century and have ECM Spy v. 1.12.27 installed on my old PC laptop running Windows XP, and all communications with my '06 Uly works fine (yes, it does have a "fan diagnostic"; wish I'd had that during my recent fan problems). However, there seem to be major discrepancies between my ECM Spy and my documentation. For example, my ECM Spy doesn't seem to have all the "tabs" shown in my manual (BuellTuningGuide_EN_V1.6.pdf) For example, on p. 8 "An Introduction to ECM Spy" under "The Menu System" there is a screenshot (ECM Spy v. 1.7.8, so much older) showing seven (7) tabs: Overview|ECM Runtime|Diagnostics|Functions|Fuel Maps|Other Maps|EEPROM My version, 1.12.27---which should be the newest---only has FOUR (4) tabs: Overview|ECM Runtime|Diagnostics|Trouble Codes I can do TPS reset, etc., but can't figure out how to access the fuel maps, for example. Seems to be lots of missing functionality. Any suggestions? Newer documentation available? Part of the problem may be that I'm really a Mac/Unix guy, and pretty klutzy around Windows. As usual, any help will be greatly appreciated. --Doc |

Hey Doc, You are in Standard view. Look on the top of the page, and click on VIEW, then scroll down and click on Professional, that will give you all the tabs. Bart |

Duh, I should have known that...I'm---supposedly---a "professional" meself. Thanks, guys. --Doc P.S. The real heroes of technology are the guys who write the manuals. Like our XB manuals, which IMHO are the best. |
