I took the boys out riding this weekend for the very first time. My biggest fear was that one or more of them would get hurt or haired out in some way. They took to riding like ducks to water. Especially my middle son Erik, he's nine years old. He had the XR70 pinned most of the day and we had to practically tackle him off the bike to get him to stop and take a break. Sheesh! This is a picture of Erik literally twenty or so minutes after learning to ride for the very first time.  Now I have a different fear. Excuse me while I go make sure my insurance premiums are paid. Yep, those are some of the best roads in the Texas Hill Country. I will be out in Leakey this weekend. Unfortunately without the bike though. | ||

Last Sunday Superbike races in Assen, the Netherlands. A flog of early bikers rode in the mist, probably lane splitting at high speeds, just as all the other groups, which passed us on that highway. An horse trailer came loose from its hook, touched a car and the resulting mingle was one casualty, 6 badly wounded, and parts scattered along the road over a distance of 1/2 a mile.
