Four Rivers Harley Davidson of Paducah, KY has a 2009 Buell 1125R for sale. Anyone out there have anything on the reputation of this dealer? |

Hey man. I bought my 08 from Jerry Ivy (great guy) at Four Rivers. They don't normally sell Buells but somehow they ended up with a shipment. You'll want to ask very specific questions and take it to a Buell dealer for any work. I asked them if mine had the latest 062 flash and they asked me what a flash was. |

Yeah I had them quote me a price, take a credit card as deposit over the phone then change the price. I told them I wanted out of the deal and they refused to give me my deposit back. It is dispute with my credit card company now. Its the same red 1125R Im sure. |

I'm 1,000 miles away so I would be dealing with them over the phone etc. Thanks for the information. |

I had a ok experience with them I'm in Illinois and I drove down two weeks before the announcement of the close and got a 08 for $5800. They must have had some inside word. Bike was as discribed except for two small damaged spots on the fairing not a huge deal but that did disapoint me. Before I left the owner half ass offered me a job when I told him the dealership i work for. Was kinda funny. |

Applelton HD in Clarksville, TN is not worth pissing on. I would never. I don't understand how they are still in business. Don't say I did not warn you. I wonder why they have bikes left???? |

Well I can say my buying experience there at Appleton went really well. I can't vouch for service since it will not be my servicing dealer (Bluegrass Buell). |

Phwx2, I went to Four Rivers and rode that '09. The bike is an ex-demo bike just like a bunch of '08s they have. It's got close to 2000 miles on it but it's in really nice condition. The '08 ex-demo I saw there had a bunch of little scratches and scuffs on it--it looked rode hard and put away wet. I asked about their other '08 ex-demos and was told that they were all in similar shape. Not so with this '09. They wanted $5900 OTD (not including TTL) when I had a look at it. That's still kinda high for a bike that, while in nice aesthetic condition, has been whored out for a couple thousand miles. It ran and rode great, but I'd still be a little concerned. Considering that there are dealers selling new '09s for $6500-$7000 if you shop around, and maybe even less than that, I wouldn't pay $5900 for that bike. They're selling their '08 ex-demos for $5295, if memory serves. If you could get the '09 for that price, it would be a decent deal. I did find one dealer in Illinois with a new '08 for $6000 including tax, title and license. I posted about it in another thread here, and if someone hasn't already jumped on it, that is a pretty sweet deal. |
