I plan on being there. What's the deal on the motel? The rate they're quoting on their Web site is $67.50 per night. Is there a different rate for the 20th block of rooms? I've tried calling them on a couple of Saturday afternoons but it just rings and rings, nobody answers. I'm going to email this same question to Lake Bueller. I'm about ready to just reserve a room at the $67.50 rate if they won't answer the phone. |

M2me try calling them again.that rate is the same but you might want to get in the same block of rooms, just remember to tell them the 20th.If you have problems just give Lake,Spidey or myself a holler.

I'm locked in! I made my reservations on their web site and gave 'em my credit card number. So it looks like I'll be there one way or another. |

If you want to do some self-guided tours, Brew City BRAG just did a ride last Sunday that covered some of the best twisties Southeastern Wisconsin has to offer and I will be more than happy to email the route sheets (EXCEL Spreadsheet) to anyone interested. Just ping me and get your own South Eastern Wisconsin Map. FYI, the back side of the Milwaukee map from AAA covers the area well. Best regards, Bill |

Newfie, I'm still going... It's only a 2064 miles (3440 Km) for me. Maybe I can do it in three days without EZ holding me back! James (Message edited by JPROVO on May 23, 2003, %time) |

Jprovo,if you are just taking main hiways and not worried about sight seeing, thats a fairly easy ride in 3 days.Have done a bunch of 600-800 miles days and even an 1100+ when pushed.Just start early and make sure your rested at night--and eat regular to keep blood sugar up cuz you can fall asleep on a bike--and its scary!!! |

FMJ, I actually was napping on my bike this weekend and it worked just fine for me !!! Anyhow, can't seem to break 120 mph for some damn reason, at least not with my eyes closed... The current thougts on the After 20th Tour of the Great Lakes is this... I am taking a tent. Whoever needs a hotel can deal with it themselves. I will sleep in corn fields and forests, beaches of the Great Lakes and wherever else I want to. Maybe I should get a camo cover for the M2L... Should be in East Troy on the 20th on through the 22nd, throught Detroit and to Toronto with the Newfer...for a HOG thang on the 23rd. After that I am circling back the northern route up to Manitoulin Island and Sault St Marie to the Upper Peninsula, Houghton, Hancock and Hurley and then my home. I am happy to go alone... but more fun if anyone can keep up with me. Over 1000 miles on the Buell this last weekend and no problems. Charlotte |
