my 08 blast with 1700 miles began to run rough and started to sputter and died on me this p.m. it then took awhile to start back and the same problems happened on my return home. it feels like it could be a fuel issue but i am new to biking and just looking for some input. thnks |

A common issue on the Blast is the boot on the carburetor. They can crack, causing an intake leak that would cause the issues like you are having. Luckily, it is cheap and easy to replace. If you do a search on the Thumper section, you will see a lot of info about it. |

I had that problem with the carburetor boot on my Blast. It is an easy fix. I've been having the same issue with my '07 lxb12ss. They found a few shorts in the wiring and have been replacing sensors (TP I know of for sure). Nothing seems to get her running and I'm starting to think it may be really serious considering it's been in the shop off and on for the past 6 months and steadily for the past 3 months. The Shop is doing all the work as it's under warranty but I think Harley might stonewall me if I push any harder given she has the race exhaust and computer. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should proceed? I hate paying for this bike I can't ride. |
