I have not found very much info. about increasing the power on the ulysses bikes. I know that nos is the cheapest power added, but I don't want to keep filling bottles. What are the options? I had a trask turbo kit on my v-rod but I can't find one for the uly. I know it isn't needed but I can't help but wonder???? |

I know it isn't needed but I can't help but wonder???? I'm with you on that one, but after scaring the crap out of myself a few too many times, I'm not so worried about having more power. Now I'm learning to control the power it already has. The corners are where all the fun happens anyway. But I would be tempted with a turbo kit if EBR makes one. |

Yeah! You would have to be care full, but the power delivery from the new turbo systems are very controllable. |

The riding position of the 1125 is not for me. The system being worked on looks great, but how would it work on the uly? Thinking dirt roads might not be so good. Are there any big bore kits available? Forgive me if these questions seem dumb, I am new to the uly. The v-rod made 170 RWHP with the turbo and that was a rush. |

These bikes are pretty much wrung out from the factory. Only cost effective modification would be to get the ECM remapped, as they run a bit on the lean side for EPA compliance. Only way you are going to make more power is to put a lot of money into the motor with either a turbocharger or other internal motor mods. 80% of the people that hate the 1125 haven't even seen the bike in real life. Many people report the CR with clubman bars and Ulysses drop pegs to be just about as comfortable as the Uly. Personally I find it to be more comfortable. Oh, and a stock Uly will out handle ANY Vrod. 170hp is nice, but it is useless on a bike like that outside a drag strip. |

My stock 1203cc 06 ULY made 100.4 RWHP using a Micron, American Sport Bike open airbox, and early DL tuning. it is now has over 10K miles with a Rev Perf 1250 kit and stg 3 heads and is about 109-112 RWHP. I am going to freshen up the motor with the new Wisco coated pistons and go ahead and install the REV Perf 610 cams. Now on the upper end of the food chain we have a customer with a Rev Perf 90ci / 1500cc Kitted ULY making 118-124 at the rear, with over 100 ft/lbs of torque. Thanks for the info. I know the uly will out handle a v-rod. The v-rod was a great bike and I'll probably own another some day. I just wanted to give the uly a try. It easily out corners the v-rod and is more comfortable. |

Great, as stated I have over 10K and approx 300 dyno runs on mine with No cylinder wear. The only reason I am changing my piston is that the new kit uses a Wisco piston with a coated skirt. Revolution Performance is a BW sponsor as are we at JTSPerformance Here is a little more info on a couple of our bikes. We have a ride every day 05 XB12R Firebolt with a couple of runs right at 131HP and 109 TQ, but we turned the rev limit back down to the 125 level. This bike uses the 02 sensor and maintains the AFV right at 100%. The 90 inch ULY is getting de-tuned a little also as we swap the bored 51mm TB with my stock one. Customer rides approx 8 miles a day on fire roads and wants a just a little less, but wants to keep his TQ number up there. So when I do the cams I will install his big TB on my 1250. ... Terry |
