Here are the promised pictures...       Couple of things: in the tank shots you can see the scuffs/scratches that have been there since I owned it. Never been down under my watch. I also forgot to mention that it's got pristine frame sliders that are on the bike as well as billet front and rear pegs that go with it, but haven't been installed yet. The stock seat likewise goes with the bike. I love riding it, but I'm moving to South Dakota and the Uly with its windshield and heated grips wins out. | ||

I don't understand why you guys are selling these bikes, especially in mint conditions like this one, at such a ridiculous prices! this bike is worth at least double the money you're asking! like this you're killing the market. it makes me sad... sorry Locash, I know you smelled the deal and go for it, but I have to say the truth: this bike is being sold well under its value!!! :-( | ||

Edoardo, I share your sentiments but sometimes folks either need the cash or may decide not to ride anymore for whatever reason. I have an X1 just like this with about the same mileage and I wish they were worth twice as much but remember a lot folks paid just $5000 for a brand new Buell. Tubers only attract a small group of people and most already own one. I personally hope I can keep mine as long as I can. | ||

well, I bought my S1WL about 2 years ago, honestly before the crisis started to hit the economy worldwide, and paid $6000 for it. it was in great shape, just 3900 miles, few tasteful modifications, a very clean bike. I found it on eBay and the guy was a local. so I decided to go see the bike in person, I asked how much was his reserve prise and agreed with him to pay that amount cash. so he accepted, had to end the auction earlier but he wasn't so familiar with eBay so he let the auction go. lucky me, the auction stopped at $5900, a mere $100 under the reserve price. this to say that there was someone else willing to pay top dollars for that S1. now with all the money I already invested and I'm still investing right now on my bike, how much should I ask for it? definitely more than the price these tubers are going for, but I'm also pretty sure that there will be people appreciating the real value of that bike... | ||

...the bottom line is that the shutdown of Buell and their subsequent fire sale on new cycles has depressed the used Buell market beyond what the bad economy already did. While the tubers have been out of production for a long time, they aren't immune to this effect because most of the people who would look at an X1 would also look at an SS or a 9x. I'd love to sell my x1 for $5000, but there would be no takers at that price. (If there are, you're welcome to email me as well to work out the details  ) | ||
