I've bought several sets of these because they were extremely cheap in the UK. They're of reasonable quality but not worth their full retail price - we can buy them with a 75% discount. On the track I wear A/Ness kit and the Buell branded stuff isn't anywhere near that quality. |

I have these but have only tried them on. They look to me to be very good quality. You can get them very cheap right now on ebay! BTW, the one thing i did notice with the pants is it seems to be a lot of room around the knees and the pucks are too low and more in the middle of my shins. I have the jacket and it seems like a nice piece. I'm pretty sure it was made by Joe Rocket for Buell as a friend of mine has exactly the same thing without Buell on it. |

92$ for the pants on Ebay, $30 for the gloves, full price for the jacket I bought a while back, the jackets are $450 retail, $217 is a great price. As others have said, they fit great, pants are a little loose in the knees. I have accidentally tested the jacket. It held up great. (Message edited by VtwinBuell on January 01, 2010) |

Rockstarblast, i don't know what planet your from, but here 217 for a armoured leather jacket for 217 is a steal. I paid $350 for my Alpinestars back in 06 and this Buell jacket is as good as that one in quality. I know the dealers are making money, so what, show me one that sells things for what they paid and i will show you one that is out of business. I paid $300 for my AVG Buell helmet that some places are still selling for $600. Is that a deal? Maybe not to you because the dealers paid $45 for them after HD killed Buell. BTW, i got all of it on Ebay. |

Almost all HD/Buell dealerships have Ebay sites. It's turned into a very lucrative revenue stream for them. It's a great alternative if you don't have a Buell dealership near you or they're already out of inventory. |

Jacket seems to fit true. Pants you might wanna go a size big, but then again seems like more room in the knee area. I guess it also depends on what size you are. I'm a fat ass 38-40 in jeans. These leathers are 42 and fit perfect. I'm guessing if you where a 32-36, get that size. |

Like most here have said...the Buell leathers are a pretty nice set. I have never been much of a guy that liked to be a walking billboard for any brand...but since HD shut down Buell I have felt like wearing Buell stuff is one way for me to make a personal statement of my disappointment in their decision. So I bought two complete sets of Buell leathers (including gloves). To be honest, it helped that I averaged about half price for the stuff. I am 5'9" at 185 lbs (plus or minus a little) and normally wear Large jackets and 35/32 pants. I first purchase the 44 jacket and it fit very nice, with a little extra room for extra layers in the winter...but I thought that there would be too much room in the summer, especially for doing track days. So I bought a 42 jacket for those occasions. Regarding the pants, I first bought size 34 and I could get them on but it was a pretty tight fit...not what I wanted for everyday use. So I got a second pair of pants in size 36 that fit good (not loose at all), but they are a lot easier to get on and off. Both pants are maybe a little too long...they would probably be perfect for a guy with a 33-34" inseam...but I'll make them work! I may now ride as a big Buell billboard, but for me...that is the point! |

I'm 6ft and 180 lbs and bought a 46 jacket for summer and a 48 for winter. The 48 is too big in the chest but fits fine across the shoulders (built up from decades of hard rock climbing). Both allow a separate back plate to be worn once the useless piece of foam has been removed from the jacket - in any case it's too short to protect the C1-2 and L1-3 vertebrae according to my wife who'se a specialist in an Orthopaedic hospital. The 32" trousers are way too long but can easily be shortened. One thing that concerns me is the way in which it's possible to move the shoulders back in the event of a crash. Top quality leathers limit the amount that the shoulder can move past its normal degree of articulation and prevent dislocation of the joint, but at the discounted price, they're excellent value. Normally I like all black leathers but as the previous poster said, I really don't mind the rather tasteless in your face branding on them as a protest against the MoFuCo. The leathers will be just about broken in by the time the EPA (or whoever) bans the MoFuCo's tractors for being too dirty and they go on their knees to Erik to build road bikes again with the Helicon motor (......and I hope he tells them to .... off) |
