I called up a local dealer around me and he told me that I could order one from him...rode over there on the sportster in 25 degree weather...got there and found out to no avail on an r model. On the cr they can still TRY and order. Called the dealership up in Joliet,Illinois using Eagle Harley's (Lafyette Ind)phone and they had an 08 for 5900 otd with no miles on it, sporty trade(got $9200) came and picked her up Dec. 11th. Not the best price on here, but Conrads Harley were the best by far since I have been buying bikes. They have a few Buells left in stock last time I checked. |

Sburns, I'm not sure if you inferred that I said prices were going up because of an increase in demand. However, I said no such thing. I agree absolutely with what you said. It's that the supply is decreasing and, of course, that is driving prices up. I still say the intent of this thread was to see what people were getting 1125s for in the past few weeks and days. Who cares what someone paid for one in early November. It's what the trend is now. (Message edited by Kidder on December 30, 2009) |

happy to be the owner of a new 2009 Red 1125R. I picked it up Saturday at Livermore HD in Northern California. They gave the full $5k off MSRP plus another $100 for my drive up from So Cal. They have a few more 1125r's in stock when i picked it up. Ask for Mike. I had called around all of So Cal with no luck finding any new 1125r. Now time to get it broken it. |

The point of my post, even though it ~WAS~ in November is to be aware of GR Harley and other dealers like them. They show a very high number of bikes in stock and there is a reason- they can be difficult to deal with and lie on a regular basis. Be aware of this as they are attempting to milk every last dollar out of Buell buyers trying to take advantage of the rebates. That is important to people who might be looking at buying while the number of bikes keeps getting lower. |

McHenry is buying tons of Buells. If you want black, you're in luck. They have a bunch and are doing good deals on them. http://www.buell.com/en_us/tools/find-a-bike/ |

I was thinking about picking up an 08 R in addition to my CR, listen to this BS... Called Walters Bros HD in Peoria, IL...they have 3 08 1125Rs. I asked him how much they are selling theirs for....he said $11,995.00. I asked him what about the 5000 rebate on these...he said he was aware of it. I said, so what happens to the rebate? He said the dealership is keeping it! So, they are trying to get 16,995.00 out of the 08 Rs....LOL...they'll sell out of them by year's end....but which year? |

WOW, the term "stealership" applies quite well to that place. AND all the way out in BFE Peoria. Good luck with all that Walters. In my opinion, if you are paying more than $5500 out the door your getting taken on an 08. |

The best deal I found was from TNT Harley. "TNT SALES DEPT" <sales@tntharley.com>. Todd said he could sell me a black '08 1125R for $6000 OTD including Illinois tax, title and license. Again, I don't know if that deal is still good or not, but I told Todd I would spread the word after I got my '08 1125R that I ordered from Ukes. |

Give McHenry a call this weekend before you buy. I think you can do better. Especially on a 2008. I've talked to a lot of dealers, and for the inventory available right now, McHenry is moving their Buells fast. |

I live near Peoria,IL and stopped by Walter Bros in November to check out their '08 Black 1125R's. After speaking with the sales guy about their asking price and HD's 5K discount, he said that they would rather have their 1125R's be placed in their museum of bikes than sell them for .01 less than msrp. I purchased the last red 1125R from Abernathy a few weeks ago for the $6495 OTO. Danny is a super nice guy. They did have 4 09's. 1 black, 1 white, and 2 red. |

That's a surprising stance considering the economy. Must have money in the bank. I don't think the 08s are really going to be "museum" bikes. I guess that's their business though. Odd. |

I will donate a large jar of Miracle Whip and a butter knife to Walters Bros...They're gonna eat those 08s, they may need multiple jars for 3 of em! |

They better clear out some more space in that museum ... The "won't sell for .01 under MSRP" comment is easily one of the stupidest things I've read in a long time. They haven't paid me to analyze their business model, but I already have some initial thoughts Mike |

I knew those types would emerge as time went on. Maybe they will fold and their stock will be distributed to other dealerships with better sense. |

the one I am getting was a company owned vehicle. It has 511 miles on it. the break in miles were put on it so it could be one of the demo bikes that travels around to different events etc. It is considered "new" for financing purposes. Zero miles would have been better but the fact that it is a 2010 white 1125R (1 of 7) and I think I got a good price on it, I can live with the 511 miles on it. The fact that is was at the factory I think the break in was done properly. The demo bikes were to travel around the country and I am sure they didnt want a bunch of abused bikes being showcased and test ridden by potential buyers. |
